I agree with this poster, I was in the queue by 8.35 and had a lovely chat with the ladies round about while we admired the M&S windows and discussed how they have produced styles reminiscent of days gone by in their summer dress range and how nice they were. It was a nice way to start off the day and was able to donate to charity at the same time.
That was the atmosphere in the queue outside my local M&S too, it was really lovely. The event was very well controlled. We got there at 8am and the store opens at 8:30am on a Tuesday. There were 10-15 people infront of us.
Someone behind me in the queue snuck around and grabbed the last scarf as I was asking an attendant to pass it to mebut I still got some nice things so I can't complain
I got the brooch, a mug, a tea towel, the cream coin purse and the cufflinks.0 -
is it all the m&s doing this as i have heard that my local m&s in gainsborough is not doing it??0

Just in case you're thinking of trying your luck at the Briggate store in Leeds you'll need to be there first thing on Thursday/Friday. I just called the store and was informed the sale stock had gone within the first hour. Good luck!0

hi guys,
went to the fort in birmingham after the school run.. have to say how well organised everything was considering there was a very long queue by 9.30 and i was probably at least 50/60th in the queue but had a lovely chat with other customers and came away with a jewellery set, cream purse, scarf, socks and a cute mug all in a retro style carrier bag!
Fantastic, and everyone i saw was putting a little extra into a big bucket of money for donations..
then i went in the cafe for a cuppa and a toasted teacake! fab way to start the day.
hope everyone else got some goodies too
flossy xx

Went to M&S in Hull at 10:30AM today (Wednesday) and all the 1p items had sold out. There was a notice up saying that there would be more stock tomorrow. Might pop before work tomorrow morning...I can walk faster than all the old biddies so I might be able to get a bargain!0

Did anyone go to the Meadowhall store today? I'm thinking about going tomorrow and was just wondering which entrance they were using.0
