Hi, I fully expect to be shot down in flames here...but..here goes anyway.
Is it possible that people can think of others as well as themselves? I like a bargain as much as the next person and will be at M&S today. But i don't intend to keep getting in the queue etc as i think this is wrong. M&S say 5 items per person and will have stocked for that....the way i see it if i get more than 5 then someone else will miss out and be disappointed? Isn't 5 enough...thats a real bargain and a great treat, and maybe another person wont be disappointed later on if we are not all greedy?
Just a thought..............
I queued for 40 minutes in Harrogate this morning and I got there early:eek:.
If I had tried to join the queue again it would have been another hour's wait. Apart from being greedy to go back for another go, frankly it wouldn't have been worth it. There are only so many nylon knickers and pear drop sweets a girl can use.
I did get a token for 12.5 % off an over £35 spend on clothing though. OH is due a new suit for work and this will be a real saving.
You cannot live as I have lived an not end up like me.
Oi you lot - pleaseGIVE BLOOD

Teesside Park was very organised and the criteria was only 5 items but 1 of them must be a can of pop and another 1 had to be a bag of sweets
My Little girl loved it, she bought her dad the Ginger beer, the sweets and the tie and herself the Beachball and a purse
Great fun this morning for a 3 yr old0 -

Actually I reckon ebay will be a good place to go if you missed out as it will be swamped with this stuff soon I bet. Bet there's still a good deal to be made if theres a few items you do actually really like.
I'm gonna be keeping my eye out
pippitypipI know I'm in my own little world, but it's ok - they know me here!0 -
I went to London colney and got there at 9am - there was a huge queue at least 200 people in front. After an hr I got there and got frisbee, mug, beach ball and 2 lots of sweets as I am not sure if there were 5 items left. They recommended queuing early tomorrow but I won't be back as could never get there by then0

I think its a lovely idea and definately a way of cheering people up in the current climate!
I went to my local store on my way to work, everyone in the queue and all staff were lovely and I managed to get three different jewellry sets (no limits as other people have mentioned) knickers and a lovely passport wallet!
I think the posters moaning about the quality and manufacturing should find somewhere else to air their views, the whole point of this site is to save money. M&S are offering a fantastic deal.0 -
I just went to the one along Princes Street in Edinburghand all they had left was the rosy apples and ginger beer. Rosy apples look really nice
