ps do I need a back up plan in case Orange call my bluff and tell me to go and walk? I can't lose my current number that I've had since 1999.

You will not need to change it, as you'll be given a PAC code to port your number to whatever network you end up with.

Then, the aforementioned deal, is not as good as it looks.

Nonsense, I have been with Tesco for over 1 year now, I have probably been unable to make a call once or twice (tried about 10 seconds after and it was fine).

Also regarding the 1 month rolling on Tesco and can they change the deal, no they cannot change it, it's a rolling contract so as long as you keep it going on the agreed tariff it will remain at agreed bundle and price.
  • hi,Iv'e just got I-phone 4 16gb,300 mins, unl texts, unl wi-fi and 500 mb for £25 on 24 month contract. had to pay £200 for phone but if im avin a 2 year contract thought may as well get best phone i could
  • I'm not convinced haggling is the bst way to go. I was with Orange and I tried haggling with them and although they were able to match the £10 per month contract with O2 and Vodaphone with a free phone, they were unable to match the £100 cashback I'll be getting through the Topcashback website. I'll be saving over £340.00 over the course of the next 2 years thanks to my new contract. :j

I've been with three for 18 months now and intially they offered me the X10 Mini for £6 per month (as my contract was expiring and I rang them to cancel) but I wasnt aware how good this phone was and point blank refused....anyway some days later I rang them again to see if they had anything on offer and the guy offered me the E63 (which imo is rubbish) so I refused....then they called me yesterday and said this is the "last offer" type thing and I took it, I'm getting the Sony Ericsson Zylo with 500mb free web a month plus, 600 mins, 300 mix and match and 300 3 to 3 mins guess how much for?
£5 a month! I do have another phone with them so I'm hoping they'll offer me a deal on that one too.
Oh and when I tried to get the X10 mini deal again they refused and said there's no way I could have been offered that deal even though I have the conversation recorded!

So it pays to haggle. :T

I intend to call them on my other 3 phone and ask for my PAC and see what they offer me... :D
It is what it is :wall:
  • my contract with 3 will end after 2 months and I would like to have the iphone 4..but i'm not sure it they good at it...

Hi, currently haggling with three, currently e71 £20pm 200mins + unlimited text & net, they still haven't offered anything worth taking, and have today requested my puc. Will they call back to negotiate?

  • I am with CPW. Currently about to be out of contract with o2. Looking to get a blackberry; 1200 mins as a minimum, internet access, international call discount and need to get a deal so I dont get charged a fortune for non-geographic numbers, especially 0800 numbers. Got through asked for best deal, put through to retensions, then told they couldnt do anything - suggested i ring direct sales!!! I asked for PAC and apparently they will mail me a form - not yet received

    any insight?
