I have a quick question
Is anybody else having problems with the onecompare website?
I am trying to get on there and find a decent deal for a new mobile phone but the page seems to just sit there doing nothing, There is a message saying that they are experiencing high levels of traffic and to be patient but 10 minutes waiting for results that never appear seems to me to say there is a problem with the website.
Can anyone recommend a decent comparison website so that I may have a look for my new phone?
Many thanks0 -
I get the same problem, both at work and at home. Try this site http://www.mobilephonechecker.co.uk/mobile-contract-deals/0

I am with Orange and have been with them forever (well, in Orange years!)
My contract ran out and I haggled a new one as I was not happy with what was being offered.
I managed to get 2200 mins, unlimited texts, unlimited internet and also the Nokia X5 out of them for £20 per month. Ok, the dark side of it is that it is a 2 year contract but it seems to fit within my requirements0 -
I agree, unfortunately Orange show a clear lack of customer care for their most loyal...I've had the whole kaboodle (mobile, landline and broadband) with them for 3 years. On pointing out they are lacking somewhat in competitive pricing against other market contenders, they were adamant that they have "budgets" and that the tariffs (in ref to the rather steep tariffs for the iPhone) are "set in stone". I complete disagree with the very high upgrade prices for the newhandsets (SE Experia X10 and Samsung Galaxy).
I've clearly stated I will be taking my custom elsewhere (via telephone and in a follow up complaint email), but 6 days into it, I'm yet to hear back...0 -

I'm flabbergasted that o2 are no longer trying to keep their loyal customers. I've been with o2 for 10 years and always get a wicked deal come renewal but not this year.
I spoke to two people at o2 retentions who wanted either £49.99 for the galaxy s + £35 per month for the smart phone tariff or £90 for the galaxy s + £30 for the smart phone tarriff.
I told them that orange and tmobile were offering £25pcm with unlimited everything and free galaxy s and 3 were doing the same but for £20 pcm. There answer? Here is your pac code sorry we can't help.
Absolutely disgusted. Needless to say, I'm out of there. Now i just need to know orange, tmobile or 3?0 -

Unfortunately, network coverage from orange, T-mobile and 3 is nowhere near as good as O2, and O2 knows that. Hence the no budging.0 -

Then go with Tesco ... they use the same network and have some storming sim only deals at the moment:
500mins, unlimited texts & Internet £10 per month (rolling 1 month contract)
750mins, unlimited texts & Internet £15 per month (rolling 1 month contract)
or
£30 per month gets unlimited everything (rolling 1 month contract)
Offer is only until 10 Oct 10. I'm going for that one unless O2 can match it (which, judging by what I've read on this thread, won't happen)

The first two appear £5 more on the Tesco website, but still a cracking deal.0 -
I thought what they offered me was a good deal. I use the Three network and my contract ends in 30 days.
1st deal they called me first and they offered me a Sony Erricson X10 mini for £12 a month for 24 months and included 1gb internet, 300 corss network minutes and 1000 text messages with standard free voicemail and skype and msn messenger.
2nd deal i called and they offered me a HTC desire on a 24 month contract for £26 a month which included 1200 cross network mins, 3000 landline mins, 3000 text messages, 2GB internet all of that per month. which one is good, and is this good at all?0
