Does this work when wanting to upgrade to an iphone with orange?0
-
My wife asked O2 nicely via their website (live chat) and had her monthly minutes and texts doubled for no extra cost (total £15 a month) - result!:j
I am also paying £15 a month and tried the same with Orange who were considerably less helpful and wanted to double my bill if I wanted to double my minutes. Needless to say I'm now shopping around for an alternative provider.0 -
I've been on Orange's rolling-monthly contract for about 18 months now, paying £15/mo for 200 mins, unlimited texts. I saw recently that O2 were doing a much better deal for £10/mo.
So, rang Orange for my PAC code, which I got, but I also got a much better deal! My contract was reduced to £10/mo, which included 400 mins, 3000 texts (basically unlimited), 512MB internet and some picture messages included. What's more, I'm not tied into a contract...very happy!0 -
Hi,
I just wanted to post a deal that I signed up to today. See if others think it was OK/so if anyone can get a similar deal!
I was with Vodafone for over 10 years, latest was a sim only £15 a month 600 mins/unlimited text.
My fiancee really liked the HTC wildfire. Called up T-Mobile and managed to secure 2 contracts at £15 per month for year 1 and £20 per month for year two with 600 mins, unlimited texts, unlimited internet and a monthly flexible booster.
It seemed ok to me, but thought I would share with others here!0 -
Everybody seems to be making deals with T-Mobile, Orange, Virgin and Three. The ones not playing ball are O2 and Vodafone. I have been with O2, Virgin and Vodafone, and one of my colleagues is with Three. O2 and Vodafone have an excellent++ signal, Virgin, while I was contracted with them, had a very poor signal, and I was in Mayfair (Central London), in a ground floor room of a hotel. Every time I needed a signal, I had to walk to a window; whereas O2 and Vodafone can actually receive calls in the basement of the very same building. I believe Virgin uses T-Mobile network. As far as Three is concerned, my colleague can never get a signal inside the building too. So, my question is: how happy is everyone with the signal service they receive from their providers, and would you rcommend your network!0

Let me start by telling you that I had been with Orange for over 3 years until recently. Then I moved to Brighton! As soon as I got here I was eligable for an upgrade so - I did! Then noticed that I never really had good service wherever I was (Indoors and out)?? So I thought I'd call Orange to complain back in December 2009 - Get this, I was told it was due to 'Tall buildings in the area' Are you kidding me! My fiance is on O2 and has consistent 3g service! So the complaints kept rolling in from me as it got so bad that my signal would show 2 bars of service and I would call my own phone and get voicemail. I was eventually told 'I think we've found the problem' (Only took you 7 months) 'You are in the middle of a coverage hole for 2g and 3g service' - _pale_ Well, that's great - thanks for selling me a contract I couldn't use and making me pay for it!
Given the details above and the fact that I upgraded through 'Phones 4 U' I said I wanted to end my contract (With 18 months still left on it) as I was paying for a service that Orange cannot provide their customers in Brighton & Hove (Or so they say 'Coverage hole' - BEWARE!)
I was told that if I sent my handset back to Orange they would end my contract or pay £500 to end it prematurely! Considering I bought the handset at phones 4 U - it surely isn't an orange handset? Anyway, the service I received up until this point was so bad that they had BT beat (Hands down!) So I thought i'd send the handset back and end this farce that Orange call a contract.
Would you beleive it - I'M FREE! they only went and ended this absolute nightmare!:rotfl:
Just wanted to share this as Orange have admitted 'There is a coverage hole in Brighton & Hove' - but conviniently do not tell us when we buy into the contracts!
So... BEWARE THE ORANGE COVERAGE HOLE IN BRIGHTON & HOVE!0 -

I want to tell you my story I have been with Orange since they started. My contract finished a few days ago. Over the past month I have been contacting them and have spoken to three different people in Retentions. The phone price was higher than a new customer would get (free for them 49.99 for me) and the tarrif they offered me was £2.00 better. second time phone price goes up by £50.00 Tarrif stayed £2.00 Better then today 3rd time and guess what phone price up to £149.00 and the Tarrif £5 more than new customers. I said I was leaving and so the guy just said I will arrange disconnection within 30 days. I said my contract is finished, he said: You have to give 30days notice (in other words tough) So I am leaving Orange after what seems a lifetime, well it is a lifetime Oranges liftime. I might as well take on another line and take my number with me cuz you can these days. Bye bye Orange. Thanks Martin for all the info you send.0

Have been with Vodafone for 6 years. Was paying £20 per month on a 24 month contract for 250 mins, 100 texts, no internet and a reconditioned Sony Ericsson C702 phone.
(Was not happy when I upgraded last time but they would not budge and I still had 3 months to run.)
Read Martin's cheap iPhone 4 article quoting Tesco Mobile (Basically O2 network) 12 month contract, £20 per month for 250 mins, unltd texts, 1GB data and £349 for phone.
Phoned Vodafone the day before my contract expired (chose the "I wish to cancel" option) and asked for my pac code. They asked why I was leaving and I said none of the deals on their website matched the above. They said they didn't have much room to manoeuvre with iPhones and so couldn't match the deal, but if I were to consider another phone they would see what they could do.
Was then offered £20 per month for a 24 month contract for 300 mins, unltd texts, unltd internet and a FREE HTC Desire phone.Am now tied to Vodafone for another 2 years but I feel I have been offered a good deal and so I am a happy customer.
