It may not be if you haven't got it in writing. Vodafone commonly promise something and deliver a different deal to the one you accepted over the phone. Tread carefully!!0

after 3 years I am finally almost free from the 3 network, 40 days to go. I live in Brighton ,work in London and the signal is very bad, this is the main reason I am leaving.
Reason for my post: Called 3 this morning regards my pac code, for some reason I got a really helpful chap! so not like 3. Anyway they have offered an i-phone 16Gs which will work on 3 network and cross to Orange if no signal from 3. Price is the same as a vodafone deal, and I am sure 3 would reduce the cost further, has anyone tried using a 3 phone with a dual network? 3 say they partner with Orange, so if no 3 signal then the orange network would take over for no extra fee.
Interested to know what others think. 95% sure I will move to vodafone.A bargin is only a bargin if you would pay full price for it.0 -

You asked what others think. Here's my take on it.
A free Iphone with 10,000 minutes, unlimited Internet and unlimited texts for 2p per month is of no use (except to sell the phone) if you can't get reception. So your instincts to move networks is right. But do check that network's reception
As far as piggy-backing on other networks, 3 used to drop back on O2 I believe if the 3 G signal was weak. Unfortunately, if it was mid-call, the call dropped. Now that was some time ago and you suggest they are using Orange. But I fail to understand how your reception would be any better by changing the 3 contract and using another phone.0 -
I'm approaching the end of my 12 month sim only deal with Vodafone. For £15 I get 600 mins, unlimited texts and crucially free Vodafone Family. I am willing to commit for another 12/18 months...given its a sim only deal is it worth calling Vodafone to either reduce my monthly line rental or throw in a phone?0

It's a big ask, but good luck with that.0
