    Well nothing positive!
Lincolnshire TS (my local one) are talking to West Yorkshire TS. Not heard anything for a couple of weeks.
3 keep sending bills - I rang them yesterday and they tried to help but then ended up threatening me with 'it will effect your credit rating'. Must say I was disappointed with their attitude.
One final thing - reading between the line of my last conversation with TS - it would seem that TheMobs have a 'few' complaints pending with West Yorkshire TS.

Sorry to hear all that, I guess that the cashback part was in the (very) small print; my sister once bought a phone through someone on 3 and said was a cheap deal it was - it was I that informed her when I read her contract that she'd got a cashback deal.

True to form, she never claimed it back either; still whilst the likes of her are around, the companies will offer the likes of me the opportunity! :)

Still, I don't like the sound of themobs so I'll avoid them.

I just got an offer from web-club, free phone and free line rental, just a 2.75 admin fee, is this too good to be true? I went through and nearly checked out but did not want to enter bank details for direct debit, for £0.00 per month...

    Hi

PLEASE TAKE THIS AS A WARNING!!

I took out a contract with themobs.com in Dec 04 to Dec 05 with 3 redemption cheques due months 6,9 and 12. I hate to think how much I have spent on calling their 0870 number to chase redemptions, recorded delivery letters to the Director and finally only two days ago have I received my redemption money for Dec 05 AFTER Birmingham Trading Standards getting involved on my behalf.

So if I were you I would avoid this outfit like the plague!!

By the way, I am not the only person who has had this experience with this company, there are review sites that tell of similar stories and of those who never got their money back.

Sue, i so agree with you. I got to claim 2 redemptions for themobs.com and i lost my first one because they say i didnt send all the information, which is fair enough but they didnt evening contact me and when i contacted them they said its too late so i was not happy. My 2nd one is due at the end of the month and i will defo be sending it via recorded delivery because i bet they would lie and say they have not received it. Any other pointers you could suggest i would be grateful.

    Thanks,D

    Hi Dipak

I sent all my bills recorded delivery, the first one they said they never received so I had to pay Royal Mail for proof of delivery which was in June, and I still didnt receive any payment until November and only after writing to one of the Directors home address! Make sure you track your recorded delivery item and if I were you I would phone well within the 28 days to make sure they have received it. I have waited another 6 months for my last payment, even though I wrote another letter to the Director stating I would involve Trading Standards, they still didnt pay up until I carried out my threat and passed my details to Trading Standards.

If you need any more info feel free to ask.

    Hi Sue,

Thanks again, that has defo helped. I will be posting it recorded delivery which i believe is next working day. I think that my due date is 28th June 2006 so i'll make sure that i post it on the 27th so it reach's them on the due date and i'll call them on the 28th to confirm. I may need a name of the person who you dealt with in Trading Standard as they maybe able to act straight-away rather than wait around.

I'll be in touch and let you know how im getting along. Fingers-cross it goes smoothly but i sure as hell never going down the cashback route again!!!!

    Cheers, Dipak

    Hi Dipak

I know that Leeds Trading Standards have an open file on them, but when I called them they said I had to phone my local trading standards office, so if you need to you will need to contact Cardiff Trading Standards.

If you need Directors address or any other help, feel free to pm me and I will help all I can.

Messages on this board confirm my dealings with this company (themobs/choose3). I too have had numerous fruitless and expensive phone calls as they deny receiving required copies of bills despite my sending them recorded delivery. They do not reply to faxes or letters.

I finally managed to get an email reply saying that my claim was being processed and that I would get the payment within 10 days. That was over a month ago. In the interim I have made numerous phone calls, each time being assured that my case is "high priority". Then I was told they needed my switch card details and I would get payment within 7 working days. The 7 working days have been and gone and now I am advised that their accounting system is being updated and the payment will be made at the end of the month. I am not hopeful as this company seems to make things up as it goes along. I am owed £315.
