Sami - lol still can't work out what the point of it is :rotfl:

Batch cooking was def one of them (DH is good cook and was in particular humph about that one) but there were others. Watch this space!

One end for water to wash the head and the other for water to wash the bottom - so your not using bum water on face

Common sense would state you wouldn't do this to yourself so why on earth would you do it to a baby?!!!!

looking forward to list - we plan to have nursery ready by end of June. I'm normally last minute Bob but not this time. As OH always says FAIL TO PREPARE, PREPARE TO FAIL!!! Was his mantra throughout uni and he got a first and a masters!!

Oh, and he is trying to wangle a different job but still in same industry where he would be working Monday to Friday - Fingers crossed

    Thank you aless!

My problem with the consultants is.... mine is on maternity leave so I am under a locum, who I have seen once. I have seen other consultants who give differing onfo, then saw an on call consultant over the weekend who said that due to problems and babys size they should bring forward the date.... but I need an appt with my Consultant to confirm..... unfortunately evil hospital have to book me in which is where I am at a dead end.... I dont like my hospital... I dont like any hospital to be honest but this is making me loathe them.

sorry it turned into another rant!

Well back from the midwife... She got my name wrong repeatedly AGAIN! stoopid woman... She also looked up my blood results from last week and surprise surprise I need Iron... Have done for the last 10 weeks in actual fact.. No wonder I'm so bloomin tired... She asked me how I got on with the consultant and I told her they measured me again and had a good feel of the baby and they were happy so she didn't need to measure me... Then when I 'hopped' up on the bed out came the measuring tape... I didn't quite tell her where to stick it but I did tell her she could put it away! Everything else is fine... Baby is not quite engaged but not quite free... Oh and I'll see someone else next week but the week after if I'm still her she could examine me and give me a sweep if I want... Erm... I'll reserve judgement thanks... Don't know if I want to get that intimate with someone that can't even get my name right...

Wish we had a nursery for the baby. He will be sharing with us until he is 17, or we win the lottery, whichever comes first :D
I keep thinking the same about our baby! Definitely expecting it to be in with us for the first 2 years...

Could u not just turn up and insist on being seen? Even if it means you have to wait - it's easy to say no to someone over the phone but difficult when they are standing in front of you.

I would seriously ask to speak to someone more senior than whoever's answering the phone

may end up doing this but if I can avoid any walking/standing I will. I am just a little ball of fury at the mo. everything I need to do involves walking somewhere but it hurts, the drugs I can take dont touch the pain, I need something that would knock out a hippo but cant due to pregnancy.

Next time I speak to the hospital I am going to ask why they dont consider 37 weeks full term.

I am so hoping that my hips don't get any worse between now and September. I need my sleep and I need to be able to work so I can have lots of time off afterwards.

Well been to see GP - who is happy I'm doing well :) Joy.
Basically perfect BP, baby's heartrate is slightly high but in the normal range, my belly measurement is normal and she's not engaged... little toad! Doc did say not to feel too upset about that - some babies engage 4 weeks before they arrive and some don't engage until the very last minute before labour.
I'm back to see the MW next thursday as Roo is due on the saturday and otherwise I'd be term +2 when they are next in... DH is working from home as of next week bless him - he's not willing to go further than half an hour away from me as of the coming weekend just in case...
So all is well in camp T - just planning loads of spicey meals to try and get the sprog moving :D
