Goodness been reading for ages, pages of posts!
Does anyone else have a really heightened sense of smell, will it go? Not had it before! I feel sick all the time when I smell something strong. My poor puppy has been banished as she smells gross to me :-(0 -
I get folk trying to 'squeeze' past me, usually when I am pressed against something like a table or a a till.... So bump gets shoved against the table and I end up yelping then getting a funny look. I need a jacket that says 'I'm pregnant not fat you idiot!'.
Nicki, Icklebeans popped her twins over the weekend, think that was about it though... Although Claire's looking at induction tonight...
Seeing as nobody answered my previous question... Therefore... Nobody talked me out of it... I just spent £57 on a t-shirt that I'm not even going to like  Hubby however will have kittens when it gets here... Just have to try not to say anything for a month...
eta, Charlie, the sense of smell thing doesn't really go... But gets a little more bearable once the nausea wears off... Although walking home from the Dr's today and there was a really strong curry smell coming from a house round the corner... Followed by a really strong gas smell... I thought I was gonna chuck... But I didn't...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Have to say, I'm always amazed by women who go out into town once they're overdue.. I'm sooo gonna hole myself up at home from 39+4 until I leave the house for hospital!
(due to being scared of something happening in the middle of Tesco, I mean!)
Not sure if anyone has replied to this, ( i haven't caught up yet)
Is it an urban myth that if your waters break in Tesco's you get loads of free baby stuff??!!!!0 -
Just had a nap and have woken up feeling narky and not at all refreshed - which is usually the case when I try to nap on the sofa in all fairness lol
With just under 2 weeks till due date my bump is considerable now and it's very very obvious - 39cm apparently! But even before I finished work (annual leave) so about 4 weeks ago I had people who never spoke to me in the office saying "ooo you must be ready to go any day now!" - ehhh no - I have 6 weeks to go actually but thanks for making me feel fat...
Now people comment on if the bump is low or high (at the moment no-one can agree...)and if they think I'll go term or over or under... most of the time I don't mind and it IS a great conversation starter :rotfl:
What annoyed me loads today was having to go to the bank to pay some money into the allotment account (somehow I've ended up treasurer... hmmm) and I was stood waiting for the business counter. I was stood about 15 minutes before they decided that maybe it would be an idea to let the other business people use a non-business till... and only because they realised they would be quite a while sorting out the lady infront of me (totally disorganised and they were having to recheck everything!) - now I wouldn't have minded but there are NO chairs in the bank at all! So I had no choice to stand and there was staff walking past me all the time and not one of them offered to get me a chair from one of the rooms behind me (where there were chairs and it was obvious they weren't in use)... that DID nark me a little... would have taken them 2 seconds to offer me a seat.DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Yes Charlie, I had this, think everyone does, mine went around 10-12 weeks. I had to bath the dogs and buy new doggy beds. Even nice smells from the airfreshner and shower gels and deodorant made me sick.0 -

Was a bit worried over weekend as I seemed to pick up some mild food poisoning from a milkshake in York... for 48 hours I had quite strong stromach cramps and diarrhoea (no vomiting though) and was worried about effect on Cub. Anyone know if I should be concerned? We checked the HB yesterday and found it after a very long and slightly anxious wait (it seemed fine). Am not usually an anxious person but I was thinking her immune system is a lot less robust than mine...
I have a doc's appt today to secure the referral to the midwife-led unit in another PCT so I could raise it, but don't want to be the over-anxious first timer if you know what I mean
Your doc will probably give you all the info - always best to check with them - but I think you only need to be concerned if you get dehydrated and I'm not sure but I think the baby relies on your immune system and is pretty well protected in the womb.Mum to DD born Oct 2009
