i don't think my bump is that big though, it is a proper bump now and i'm enjoying looking pregnant but now everyone else has to comment.....
there's a pic of my bump from Sunday on facebook but i can't seem to post it here....Hmmm..don't know why???
  • It's irrelevant whether your bump actually is big, or you're actually looking tired, ppl just like to be able to make a comment - some do it 'just to make conversation', others because they quite enjoy passing on their views and judgements. When I ran regularly I was amazed at the way ppl heckled - I mean, what's the point. To show tyour mates how clever and witty you are? To tell the person you're heckling how fat/stupid they look? Jut don't get why ppl feel the need to share their judgements like that.

One end for water to wash the head and the other for water to wash the bottom - so your not using bum water on face

Common sense would state you wouldn't do this to yourself so why on earth would you do it to a baby?!!!!

Crikey! Just got back from a weekend away and there were more than a 1000 posts while I was gone. So. I've just read todays. Has anyone popped over the weekend though?

Glam, I'm with Sami that top and tail bowls are a waste of time. If you have one bowl of water (or a sinkful like me), you wash the face first, and btm last, so you don't ever contaminate any other part of the body with bum water. In any case, if you are using cotton wool to clean baby's bum, then there isn't any need or advantage in double-dipping, so water doesn't get contaminated anyway, and if using washable flannels they're usually big enough to do the whole area in one swipe. If you haven't already forked out a tenner on a bit of moulded plastic you won't ever use for anything else, its another one I wouldn't bother with tbh.

When I got pregnant with our son (unplanned) OH said mostly out of shock "What are we gonna do?" and my reaction was "Well I don't know about you but I'm having a baby" I'm sure he was just in shock as he later married me and noe we're having another (planned) but in my mind if you get pregnant you just deal with it and all being well have the baby.
I sincerely hope ur OH comes around to the idea but if not it sounds like your mum will be there to support you so you won't be alone it in - Good Luck xx

That's similar to our story, Sami, & 23 years later we're still here, despite our youth then & the surprise of #1, & #5 is now in the oven! :D
Sparkle - hope everything works out OK, & think Sami's right, maybe OH will get over the shock & be with you - hugs whatever you do.

Yesterday was a much better day than Sat/Sun, & DH finally talking to me about bean - see, even after all this time anyone can have problems/wobbles when a new baby's on the way! :rotfl:After he'd listened he said I could tell people about the baby if I needed to have other folk to talk to, don't think he realised how upset I was, he's the sort of chap who doesn't need thast sort of thing!
Went to meadowhell to try & look for clothes, popping out of regular stuff, hairband trick won't last much longer. Place was heaving 'cos of rubish weather, so didn't stay long, but we had lunch out - very proud of toddler - he sat as good as gold in a high chair (even though he doesn't use one at home now), ate all his lunch with a fork & didn't moan once! Maybe God's decided I had a bad time over the weekend & that was my reward. :rotfl:Got some khaki linen trousers from Next, now I know they fit I can order other colour from catalogue.
Right, little un in bed, off to get clothes in dryer & sort some stuff for freecycle. Got loads of baby clothes from before, but will wait until after FA scan (another 4 weeks yet) to see if we find out flavour before I chuck too much.
Congrats to ickle & her hubs - you've done fantastic to cook those little lads for so long! Hope whole family's doing well.
    See you all later on.

    A xo

I get folk trying to 'squeeze' past me, usually when I am pressed against something like a table or a a till.... So bump gets shoved against the table and I end up yelping then getting a funny look. I need a jacket that says 'I'm pregnant not fat you idiot!'.

Went straight to the dentist this morning, without ringing and they very kindly seen to me. Have been given antibiotics - apparently the roots are rotting. Oh Joy!

Why oh why does work have to get more complicated and involved when its hard to concentrate due to pregnancy brain and killler toothache. How good are paracetamol? - Not good at all.:(

Have so much to do, and just can't get my head around it all. Think i'm going to have to start writing to-do lists. Which i will no doubt loose in the piles of paperwork on my desk......

Has anyone bought anything from GroovyStyle? I was thinking of buying our travel system from there but just wanted to see if anyone had any experience of the company?
