Post here first, but start a new thread as this one is ancient and will get overlooked.
Do NOT write to UKCPS!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I got a parking ticket from UKCPS in huddersfield. I was parked in a disabled bay on the great northern retail park last week. I put my badge in the window and went into a shop. When I came out there was a ticket saying I wasnt displaying a disabled badge. I was but it was out of date, which I had not noticed. I was not driving my partner was, I am the reg keeper (moability car) The fine was for £60 if payed within 14 day, £100 if after that. I am unable to drive after having 2 stokes and epilepsy.
Please help. What should I do?0 -
Absolutely nothing. Just ignore them and the 4-6 letters/invoices which will follow. Don't be concerned about any empty threats about courts and bailiffs as none of this will happen. Its all empty threats.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

You should totally ignore it. First it is not a fine it is a invoice asking for payment. Secondly a private parking company has no relevance to a blue badge. They try and use it to their advantage but the blue badge is not relevant. The parking bay for disabled drivers in a private car park is a courtesy. You are disabled so you can park there. I am sure your tax disc says disabled on it? Anyway ignore this invoice and all the other rubbish they send do not contact them at all.
Also I would get the blue badge renewed as you would get a ticket if you use it on the road!;)0 -
Thankyou peter and robbo for your advice, I will ignore any letters and will not communicate with ukcps and I will get my badge reniewed. it says disabled on my task disc, I didnt think to look there, so thankyou very much.0

Also make sure you put it the right way up, councils are not very good at helping if you don't. For the life of me I can't see why they are not able to be made double sided so you can't put them the wrong way up.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
