Thanks for the link!
I'm quite concerned now as I can't find any mention of the 'placing an order no more than 14 days after the MOT has expired' on that website!0 -

It cannot legally be " towed ".. it would then be on the road.0 -

You could book a MoT at the dealer for the day when you take delivery, and then cancel it as you arrive - I'm sure if the dealer wants a sale they would agree to going along with it.....

Went to my local arnold clark today to buy a new van and was told not to worry about my 12 year old trade in , "you do not really get £2000 off " I meet every criteria for this deal ,but it will cost me more than with no trade in ,it should be £2000 off the price on the window , or am I wrong ?0

No that website doesnt mention a lot of the stuff thats been touted around though does it. It seems they really havent got their act together on this at all.
Still, I have the MOT and insurance still so I can tax it for 6 months and then get 5 months back I guess.0 -

Agreed.
I think that some people are making it up as they go along, together with the usual lack of careful thought that seems to go hand in hand with any government scheme.
I am surprised that they didn't insist that the car going for scrap wasn't wax polished before submission.. :rolleyes:0
