My car is being delivered from the main dealer on a low loader and they are taking the scrap car away at the same time.

Oh gawd, my little Fabia is full of dogs hairs and dust in every nook and cranny - its going for £1k part exchange along with our scrappage car on Wednesday (if all goes to plan(. How on earth do I clean the insides of all that mess? I got a dog hair remover "in one sweep" - it doesnt work :(
Use a rubber glove on the seats and carpets to brush up the hairs and vacuum as you go along, and use a new paint brush on the dashboard and nooks and crannies and vacuum as you go along. Then use a back to black type spray on the dashboard and vinyl (one with a nice fragrance will help if there is also a smell of dog).
    Hope this helps.

Ah !!!!!!, I ordered a clio about this time last month, last I heard it won't be ready until October :( Problem is the dealer is 150 miles away so that'll be a struggle with getting back to work on a Monday morning if I picked the car up on a Saturday

Perhaps the only thing in my favour is that on my invoice my car is only down as a value of £1 so maybe they'll let me drive off sooner?

This appears to be an issue with some Mazda dealers, I was considering ordering a Mazda 2 one dealer said had to have car scrapped a few days before picking up new car. Another Mazda dealer said that I could drive up with old car and drive away with new one.

In the end ordered a Golf, drove up in old car and drove away with new car, just got to wait for the final invoice once they have scrapped the car, but no delay swapping straight from old to new car.

I suggest you call the Renault dealer just to clarify.

    Regards

for removing dog hairs from seats the best thing is some sellotape,it never misses one, when it starts to get a bit clogged just cut off another peice. the wide stuff is the best.

    Mazda2 comes in 5dr.

Plenty of room in it. My son is 6'2" and fits easily in the back.

when you collect your new car, you leave your old one - there shouldnt be a delay between the two

the only reason you would scrap your old car, before taking ownership of your new one, is if your MOT/tax has run out, as you wouldnt be able to get it to the dealership on handover day otherwise - although some dealers arent keen on this, incase something goes wrong, and you now no longer want the new car, but your old car has been scrapped - too many risks

I would say the dealer was pulling a fast one, in that your new car wasnt actually ready to go yet, but by saying you had to bring your old car in first for clearance, meant you didnt feel you were being messed about with
