my mate actually rang 3 back himself earlier on and told them about the call last night - said he'd written a letter of complaint (which he has) and after a 25 minute wait to get through to cancellations, he was cancelled with no fuss at all.

Successfully cancelled my contract (only 4 months to go) on the 8th June (30 days notice so ends 8th july) - Took over 5 hours to do because of phone/signal drop outs so you have to start again at the beginning....

Today 5 days later- they disconnected my usim / closed the account .. without notice

The guy I spoke to in billing has no idea why - (my account is about £30 in credit which I now have to wait at least a month to get a refund.
However found out that if you use their 0800 358 6795 number (thanks to saynoto0870) you are on hold far less time than calling 333- and nowhere near as many 'press ** options before you speak to anyone
(or In my case I couldn't call 333 as they have cancelled my phone account)

ps I'm offering a free 3 sim card to anyone who can name the songs '3' play continually whilst you are on hold and how many times I have heard them since I started my contract...........

Does everything in the first few pages still apply to cancelling a 3 contract? I'ts doing my head and eyes in trying to read through 26 pages:p

I'm sure I got a text but phone is at repairers (where its been for the last 3 weeks) so doubt it'll still be there when/if I get the phone back.

Be nice to get out of contract still with 12 months to go, whats everyone changing to thats decent, preferably with quidco:D

yes term 10.1d applies....detrimental change - of withdrawl of 3LH means roaming charges for the rest of your contract term apply, where they were part of your priceplan before withdrawl, past usage is nothing to do with it so dont be fobbed off.

Quick note, I started on the £15 Texter Contract in January this year and have just cancelled my contract using 3 Like Home as the reason. It took some convincing of the supervisor but its all done and I have my pac code.

They where trying to say it is now passed the 30days but they addmitted they had not informed me. So hold your ground.

I'm moving to Vodafone on a deal that will give me a more stable monthly outgoing. Good phone and the deal includes limitless texts and internet.

Slight overlap with the 3 contract but I prefer that than being without service for a few days.
