If you pay 10% of the £300 credit for the plan, 10% of calls to a AU landline/mobile are 10% of 20p - BARGAIN 2p !, no-one beats that !!! Thats 4 cents and that is at AU termination rates between the AU mobile companies.

Tesco is being more than fair to customers on international calling/roaming, you calling AU at market rate - Tesco are seeing the broader picture, to get a large share of the UK market and termination rates take a hit on international calls/roaming. Tesco have researched this well - on what consumers REALLY want.

I wonder how 3 (& others) will respond to a virtual mobile company making such a competitive REAL flexible plan ?

It's good news for us !

I'm in Hong Kong next week on business, anyone fancy emailing me complaints of 3UK, i'm sure I can manage to hand them over at HWL 3's ultimate parent company.

According to a guy at cancellations, "3 does not operate in HK, I am 100% certain of that".

The certainty seemed to go down a bit after I told him that their website mentions HK in the 3LH price plan and that their parent company is based there... Haha!

    Have fun in HK!

That's quite some deal tesco are offering; absolutely everything you could possibly ever want for £30/month! My hat would come off to them if tesco mobile wasn't part of the greedy corporate giant that is Tesco.

or the Corporate greed that is o2.....Take heed Rev in years to come the monopoly that is Tesco will be bought by some other multi national, it will make loses & be split up by its new owner, its the magic of business LOL

Strange thing is Tesco's internal mobile & land phone network/s is powered by Cable & Wireless using UMA mobile phone's in conjunction with C&W's virtual mobile arm with reselling powers, its mobile partner......ORANGE !! LOL

No wonder 3AU and Voda AU merged........

Hutchison Telecom AU, 3AU's owner costs 2008-2009

Employee payroll cost $129.5 million rise of 13.1% on 2007-2008

    $800 million in costs...

    NO profit posted.

    (Half the AUD$ to £GBP)

Now that does not include 3AU losses, just its parent company Hutchison Telecom Australia (double  )

Remember that 3AU sold 50% of its network to AU leader Telstra ( think BT ) several years ago and they make 50% of profits from that merged company 3GIS, both Telstra & 3AU use that company for 2100mhz coverage.

3UK is going the same as AU, except 3UK cant merge with any of the 4 UK networks due to spectrum allocation.

So a 3UK Merger ? I'd say BT, TalkTalk or Virgin who miss a DIRECT mobile division in there Quad packages ( tv, internet, mobile, landline) maybe 3UK wont hit the wall ? But we can assure massive debts like 3AU will push a merger.

Orange are trialling 20MBPS internet on unbundled exchanges - Orange TV will be unshelved at that point....when it does it will be the ONLY own assets QUAD player. Virgin is the only quad player at this time who's American head office could afford to buy 3.

Maybe TT or BT will bring customer care to the UK, both have hopeless care anyway but still its better than India, Virgin well thats the best of a bad bunch, Virgin Mobile care is excellent though !

What's going to happen with 3UK is really interesting...time will tell.

Hi, I have just been canceled my contract with 12 months still to go. Was only on the phone for 15 minutes.

I received the text from 3 on the 18th of May and had made use of 3LikeHome in Italy and Sweden.

Confirmed no cancellation fee and I have just received my PAC code.

Anyone got an email template I could use?

Or is it generally favourable to go down the phoning customer services route with the clauses etc?

Got 3 months to go and really want to get out of this contract.

333 customer services, T&C say call them to cancel - with 3 months left I don't think they will fight you much...its long term contracts that they seem keen to fight, considering the loss.
