Greetings Ladies and Gentleman,
Firstly thank you for all your input on this page, although I have sometimes dropped by here, I have never posted before. But thank you all for your aid.
I have suffered the wrath of 3 Customer services, the cruel long wait and the systematic lies told by numerous CSR's (customer service rep) but it ended with success. The CSR's appear to try and root up anything and everything to stop you cancelling. Many times during the conversation the CSR tried to de-tour, twist words and even blantently lie, insisting that they have never sent a txt message to me. Even worse they said that I could only cancel after the 30th June and recieving a txt msg, thus I had to call back then (which by sheer fluke :rotfl: puts me clear of the 30 day notice period).
For those of you who still have yet to make the call, keep you feet firming dug in. Write a short statement and if need be repeat it as many times as you think nessecary. Parrot on about clause 10.1d and the Terms and Conditions, dont cease putting your case across. They only aim is to stop you by what ever means from cancelling but you have just right under your terms and conditions of your contact.
Best of luck and be safe
Prymuz
Well trying to save customers is not only what 3 does but other companies as well. i rather had a worst experience with other companies... if u had a company of your own with customers leaving your company :rotfl:u would have done anything to save them.. thats the differenc we customers dont understand. 3 isnt that bad.. anyways their customer service is much better than any customer service as they have people being courteous and understanding than the customer services in the UK.0 -

I only have 3 mobile broadband with the Dongle, don’t have them as my mobile phone network provider thankfully. It was an 18 month contract and the only reason I got it was because of 3 Like Home which seemed an amazing deal and because I am moving to Dublin for 8 months next month. The connection is terrible btw, if you move the laptop an inch you can lose it and I am not exaggerating!
Firstly I went to a 3 shop to save myself some phone bills, and as usual the staff were abrasive, useless and just lounging around. Every question I asked was greeted with I dont know, you will have to phone customer services. It seems the only point of these stores are to sell you something, they cant help you once you have got it!
So i phoned customer services today, and got put through to, in my opinion, a very arrogant gentleman who said as I hadn’t used the service it didn’t affect me, even though explained that I was moving country but offered me £10 a month off my bill. I asked if I could transfer to 3 Ireland and told no.
Was transferred to disconnections. Spoke to a lovely Lady who said this was the first call she had received about this problem so was put on hold constantly everytime I asked questions but she was very helpful. Originally she said she could only cancel with a fee which would be £150 in my case, or I could transfer it to someone else for free. She said I would have to write email to complaints dept to try and get it done for free as she wasn’t able to. I talked to her about their T&Cs, stressed that I was would change to Ireland 3 if I could and asked how much it would cost me to use it abroad, and she replied truthfully, a lot. She seemed really sympathetic and wanted to help me so I got put on hold while she checked with manager and about 15 mins later she said she was allowed to cancel it for me now with no early cancellation fee! Said I could phone back end of May so I could use 3 Like Home until end of June, but didnt trust that the comment on my account would remain!
So took me about 45 mins, (in which time I was ‘googling’ the issue and surprised how many people were having problems!) and about £9 credit on my pay as you go phone but finally got it cancelled so my advice is just to explain why it will affect you, and just be polite and patient and ask lots of questions as to why they cant or wont!
Good Luck
She let you cancel the contrct for free is a big favour she did on you... :rotfl:... well we all know we dont travel abroad so often that also to 3 like homes... its just because we are getting a chance to cancel the contract we do it ,...we dont realise the benefir being with 3 gives us a good discount and c'mmon you comparing 3 with other companies who are now 25 years old where in 3 is just a 6 year old baby but can still afford to give us plans as low as £8 and free phones and looking at them other companies start.0 -
:rotfl:No any email 3 just call you back - even for people with disabilities, I had that one out with the Exec Office a few years back. Its still not changed to accommodate disabled customers. 3 - poor as ever, and now financially poorer than ever LOL
:mad:Well if 3 was poor financially it would not do phones like N96 for free and also over and above give contracts to customers and plans as low as £8 inspite of being very new in this industry and looing at 3 other companies start with these plans :rotfl:... how i wonder who will change you peoples mindset man... if 3 had to be poor it would not stand 3 in JD power last year....0 -
Sorry - didn't double quote - 0870 numbers are included in BT price plans now - therefore doesn't matter if you call the 0800 or 0870
I always forget that as I dont use the landline, these unlimited landlines on mobiles are to blame ! LOLSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -

first of all Hiya friends..
and yes robt i completly agree with you...it seems diamond seems to be taking out a personal grudge against 3...what we all ned to uderstand is that finally all companies are there to make money...ad trust me 3 isnt as bad as this sting maes it to be....
I begrudge any company not following law & breaking customers T&C. We the consumer have to abide by such T&C, so does the company in question. The best way to make money is customer satisfaction. "simples's".SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... The whole system is wrong, we have the telecom regulator OFCOM who will not act on any singular complaint, we have to got for example to CISAS which is owned by a private company to make profits - IDRS Ltd, CISAS is not a non profit making body consumers assume - every complaint nets IDRS Ltd a large lump sum they charge the COMPANIES, the telco companies and IDRS have a tidy thing going the mobile companies gain rulings ANY independent body would laugh at.

Effectively OFCOM privatised our right to legal redress over the telecom companies, you need NOT wonder why consumers are treated like crap from their telecom providers.
OTELO board members, chosen by "member companies"...
Chris Holland Chairman of the Member Board - BT
Tony Dixon - Daisy Communications
Tony Allen - Independent Council Member
Nick Blades - O2
Margaret Doyle - Independent Council Member)
Amanda Chandler - Vodafone
4 companies & 2 independent's ??? Now does that not strike you the consumer as per the MP's rules for expenses - set & regulated by MP's!, communication companies are setting their own rules/procedures & policies at Otelo, 3 board members represent 3 of the biggest Telecom companies with 1 unknown thrown in for good measure & who exactly and where exactly did the 2 "independent council members" come from ? Bet your life they are probably ex employee's of a telecom.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... Does anybody have the opening times for customer support as i want to cancel
because of the 3 like home being removed.0 -
you can call now and cancel baldy gamer, I dont know the opening times but will be a good time to call cause of BGT is on at the moment. But remember it wont be clear sailing to cancel cause the dept you need to speak to job is to keep you. ie if you not in contract offer you offers to keep you, if you are in contract say "we are entitled to change etc.." and puzzle / confuse you to thinking you not entitled to cancel0
