Interesting info about TOTM, thanks guys.

Instead of getting your magnesium fix from chocolate, these foods are good sources:

brazil nuts, almonds, cashew nuts, peanuts, wholemeal bread, soy beans, brown rice, raisins, bananas, peas, shrimps.

I know nuts may make some people recoil in horror; they are healthy fats though and may also satisfy the craving for fatty foods too.

Thanks for making me look that up, I'm going to try it for myself when the time comes too :D

If only I knew when 'that time' was! I seem to have reached the age when it's a, yes it's here, no it isn't, yes it is, well, perhaps, maybe.......:rotfl::rotfl:

ah see if it was only chocolate then a little square would satisfy me, but it's crisps and wine gum like sweets that i crave. The kind that you could sit and munch on constantly

How many things can go wrong in 1 day?
 I asked for £20 cash back the lady never gave it to me, only noticed when I went to pay, they closed the till, cashed up counted realised their mistake gave me the £20 and did not admit their error so I made them:D
while that was going on someone nicked my trolley with £1 coin in:rolleyes: got that back and then they charged me for the sugar free jelly 16p more each one different to the price it said:rolleyes: so have to go back in a mo and sort that one out plus I am trying to do a WW cheesecake that goes in the oven and forgot the lemons and did not buy enough extra light soft cheese
 then a wheel off my brand new shopping trolley came off going up the hill so the neighbour helped me carry it to the house:rolleyes:
then the fencing quote came in:eek: so I rang them and so far have knocked off £100 because I really wanted to go with their company but the other quotes come in a lot lower:D

Not exactly high tech but I bought a piece of graph paper marked out the walls, doors and windows on it, cut out different sizes of cupboards, cooker ect, then played for hours rearranging the kitchen. I know you can do this on the pc but I found it easier to visualize and much quicker to do it that way:D

What can I cook for dinner cold wise I guess for 6 people that I have no idea whether they will want it when they get here or what time they are arriving that can be left and used the next day incase of wastage? Family coming 6 of them not sure the time, so if they don't eat it they can have it the next day....

    Quick update from me.

Increased cal intake seems to have stopped the upward trend of weight gain I was seeing from mid April - mid May (when I upped the exercise). I've more or less STS in the last few weeks since weigh in. Good news :D

Ideally a couple of lb of body fat needs to come off, but that's less important than stopping the upward trend so I won't panic too much about that. Next weigh in is in 7 days. It would be lovely to see a tiny loss, but a STS would be a big relief after what happened last time - fingers crossed :)

6 meals per day and eating every 2 hours is working so well, I can't believe it and wish I'd tried it earlier!!! I'm never hungry and my diet is definitely healthier and more balanced overall. It's far from the planning nightmare that I thought it would be :) I'm sure this has helped my metabolism too.

I'm reducing my jogging/running down from 50km per week to about 30km per week for the time being. I was finding it difficult to manage that much running and still keep up all my other exercise. I'll consider building up the running again perhaps in the autumn/winter, when it isn't competing with cycling and other things so much :p

Hope everyone is doing OK - keep going, it's so worth it :D

VICTORY - I would like to challenge you on the how many things can go wrong in one day! Today my scales just wouldnt work (even with a new battery) so I couldnt weigh my suitcase until I borrowed someone elses. Then when I went to the bank it had closed even earlier than a normal saturday. Then and I was hysterical about this, while shaking the breadmaker tin to get the bread out i burnt all the uncovered part of my chest. I was wearing quite a low cut top so now have a massive bright red square and look like I have been branded, perfect for going on holiday! OH was great dousing me with cold water and pulling the skin tight so it didnt get a chance to blister (well one tiny one has appeared but its minute) and constant savlon has taken down the swelling. Still very sensitive but hopefully by the time I hit the beach/pool lots of sunblock and makeup should make all well. Have had bad burns before (one 2 years ago is only now nearly faded) so am pretty sure this one wont be permanent and should fade well over the next week, just painful and annoying and bad timing as ever!

On the upside I have found that chemical cleaning products make washing windows much quicker/easier so job wasnt as bad as I expected. Only got half done tho as then the burn incident happened, but shouldnt take long tomorrow. I had stuff out for dinner but ended up ordering a take away as was a quivering wreck in a lot of pain and didnt want to cook or eat healthy non comforting food!

Lets hope for good/better day for everyone tomorrow!

victory did you come up with a dinner plan? I'd have seconded the suggestion on couscous, maybe potato salad, cold spanish omelette, something like that. thanks for the tip pet I'll have a go at that. I've had to abandon my plan for a range cooker as it won't fit, but with te budget that I had for the range cooker I'll be able to buy a 5 burner hob and a super duper self cleaning oven. I like the self cleaning bit. Do you think there's such a thing as a self cleaning toilet? Now there's something to take on dragons den!

yowch dmv, hope the swelling has gone down. hope the takeaway helped. off to the farmers market this morning so about to stuff myself full of omelette in a bid to prevent slippages later. Glad to hear the meal pla is working out missy!
