Aah, thanks for all the birthday wishes guys! I had a really lovely day.
Vix, great advice from BB, and hugs from me xx
Thanks for putting me on the chart Raph, let's hope I don't negate everyone else's good work next week :rotfl:
Vic, concentrate on what a fab hol you're going to have - I say forget about the couple of kilos.
We had a fantastic time in Sardinia thanks KPC, we were sailing on OH's uncle's yacht (how posh does that sound lol!) so it was great to be learning how to sail and doing something active. We both want to do our Day Skipper course now, especially as we've been invited back out any time (and they have trips planned for the next 5 years). How are you doing hun?
Off I go to walk the dog. My main WL aim for today is to freeze the rest of my birthday cakes before they get munched. I like to keep my goals simple :rotfl:The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Morning everyone. Was very moneysaving yesterday as i went to sainsburys to take back a top i didnt like on and saw that the tankini I had bought a few days earlier had now gone in their half price sale, so i did what raph has been advised and bought another one and took the full price one back that evening! Also when I was there I bought 2 hot chickens reduced and had chicken and salad for dinner and have another one for today/tonight to do a thai curry with. YUM!
RAPH - I wont be around for the next three charts so could you temporarily take me off please and then I will start again at zero when I'm back to tackle the holiday weight i will have gained!
Over the next few days I need to pack and clean the downstairs of my house to within an inch of its life! I really dont want to/cant be bothered but a friend is looking after the cat for me and she is super clean so must clean and dust dust dust!
Foodwise today will be cereal, corn on the cobs for lunch (have lots to use and thought why not!) and as already said thai curry for dinner so shouldnt be too bad calorie wise. Have a good day all.0 -
TOTM here too, 2 pounds lighter today lol. Double weirdo, but i have the munchies something chronic, something about comfort food when your feeling so bad. Well done to both Scottish Lassies :j My danger time, so have got my apples at the ready, unfortunately there's fresh bread and lurpak in the fridge, lots of crisps for the little one's packed lunch - at least there's no chocolate, thankfully, the little one being lactose intolerant, it's not something i tend to keep in the house4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

Yep, this one surprised me too. It measured as a low cardio effort (59%), yet a high 'perceived' effort because of the resistance. Obviously things like this give you a combination of aerobic and toning workout - so they can be equally as good as something higher up the scale that's more pure cardio.
I actually prefer getting my resistance/strength work as part of an activity (hills, headwind, high tensions/gears, sandy terrain, carrying cargo etc), rather than doing lots of static exercises and weights
Count me in for the tasting sesh KPC!Are you having to prepare all these yourself too? If so I bet you'll have wrist ache!!!
I love my carbs. I could never do low-carb :rotfl:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BAILS! :j
my friend and i rowed a few years back for agggges along the river, it was absolutly gogeous but hard work! I loved it, this is the sort of exercise i like doing where im getting something back from it. I feel all the exercise i do or try to do is really just to "lose some calories" and not any fun. Maybe now i live near the river i should get a dingy ha!0 -

I can understand you worrying about him falling - that's not good, so that's a logical concern that I don't thing will go: you love him, he's ill and you are not always there to help (as is natural, to grow up and make your own life).
But with his condition, I don't believe it is in anyway connected to death, it's 'just' faulty wiring where as your gran was falling for different reasons - does that make sense?
yes it does as always BB. Infact yesterday when we all went to vote the neighbours up the road were there and he has huntingtons disease and looking at him to my dad made me realise he is actually ok! Mum continues to have a go at him because as mum says, inside he thinks he can still do everything he used to and he cant.
my god parents are over now so time for chatting, or maybe not because we used to be close and now she looks at me with aprehension and theyve all rushed into the garden to talk about flowers.

Hey guys,
a quickie from me. Mazza TOTM looming here any time now, and the munchy cravings are hitting me too. I don't know what it is that does it, but I am certainly a very different person now to the rest of the month, and just need to crunch & munch. I've had a piece of flapjack, hoping that would work, but then felt so guilty afterwards. Then had a thin slice of ham, and that didn't work. I've had about 4 dry Ryvita in the hope that crunching on that would be a cure... nope. Will have to plan my evening meal carefully to try to satisfy whatever it is my body seems to be craving, altho' I fear it's just carbs, and MSG, as the thoughts of singapore noodles & sweet n sour chicken just keep looming into my mind constantly.
I need to stay strong, but it's days like this you feel it's such a battle. I've been taking my evening primrose oil & cod liver oil in the hope it might help combat the cravings, but it seems not to have done the trick. Does anyone have any tips, or even an explanation as to why our bodies behave this way?One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
