Tomatoes in a tin/box is a good idea! Thanks Vixstar!

Beanielou thanks for that suggestion but I'm so fussy when it comes to food you wouldn't believe it!! lol I have an issue with textures...... pasta without sauce has a clammy kind of texture that freaks me out!!! lol i love broccoli & Courgettes, but I'd still need something with it or I wouldn't be able to eat it. I was just thinking tho, if I pureed roasted veg I could use that as a sauce? There wouldn't be too many cals in that would there?

Victory, glad the wedding went well and that there was a food shortage - excellent :D

Scottish Lass - after tea and before bedtime is my worst time - I can be on track all day and then lose it all in front of the TV. I can easily see off 1000 calories on rubbish :o That was definitely the source of my weight gain and will be my downfall again if I don't try and keep it under control.

I try not to have too many sweets/chocs in the house - but I'll still go and get a bowl of frosties to nibble on .

I'm not hungry, or bored, or miserable - it's just a habit.

    FFM :)

SCOTTISH LASS - another thing to note with tramadol and taking it too late etc. On a bad day I will take a total of 8 pills and instead of taking 2 every 4 hours, I take 1 every 2 hours. Granted you dont get the same "kick" with pain relief, but it keeps you on a more even keel as in you dont get that (or at least I dont!) horrible dizzy yucky bit when it first hits you and you also dont get the pain etc when you "run out" and are ready for the next lot of pills. You may already do that as a matter of course, but you would be amazed how long it took me to think to try that!

Well dinner is not going to be quite as healthy as planned! Popped to tescos after sticking chicken in the over and they had a massive box of chicken wings heavily reduced so I've stuck some in the oven. They are plain/raw and I will only eat the meat (gonna be a picky meal lol) but still probably not quite as healthy as leg meat etc. That means I can make the whole roast chicken go a bit further meal wise after today which is quite MSE considering how much meat my OH eats!

BB - I'm sorry you are having some sad thoughts. I can get quite down sometimes about various things sometimes even my relationship with OH as there are various things/reasons that make us 2 being together not always as easy as it could be but we love each other and are generally very happy so the rest of it is what it is and has to be dealt with. You are right that acceptance is the answer, but somedays that is easier than others. I will try to remember that when I next want to kill him!

Right off to finish doing dinner. This thread has been quite busy today really!

Yeah FFM, its habit with me too. I try not to keep anything in the house either. I've also tried using diluting juice or sweet chewing gum as a substitue, but I can't get rid of the nagging feeling that I want to be eating something. Grr!!!! Done ok today so far, but in the back of my mind I know there's a bag of maltesers in the fridge........... lol I honestly think I'd be better just eating them & stopping torturing myself with the knowledge that they're through there. Or is that just the old habit kicking in?? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

DMV I have CoDydramol as a breakthrough painkiller, which is an opiate like the Tramadol & find that on a bad day taking 1 of those with every dose of Tramadol is just purfect!! lol Although, I think this is because I get so high on the mix that I don't feel anything at all! :rotfl:

Hello again, Pinklipgloss and welcome to Scottishlass. There seem to be a lot of people living in Scotalnd on this thread ... I wonder if you're near enough to each other to alk aroundthe same loch?

Often, I think the best thing to do is acknowlege the feeling and the reason it is there and then distract myself. Sadness is a natural part of life and makes the happinesses even more special.
BB you are such a wise woman. I so admire you for your apporach to life.

Victory -- I loved the bit about the skimpy food. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Left over baked potatoes cut into wedges, sprayed with a bit of frylight and popped into a hot oven until the edges are a bit crispy .... yum yum.

FFM thanks for the warning about puppies eating kitchens. I'm not letting any little dogs into the house now.

Right, off to cook some lamb on the barbequeue - so long as the blackbirds aren't feeding their young/falling out of their nest ....
