OMG VICTORY how horrible. I hate things like that. I have had accidents while choppin before where you can see the bone in your finger and all I can do is call my OH as I cant bear to look/deal with it. POLKADOT - I hope you arent too soo for too long. All the more motivation for you to move I'm sure. Oh and well done to you for being able to explain to your little one, and well done him for being so grown up helping you.

    Have a good day all.

Victory & Polkadot - ouch and yowch! I used to have a Dettol antiseptic/local anaesthetic spray that I always used for my children, but they don't seem to do it anymore, but it was ideal for a 'smarting' cut or graze. I have the teensiest bit left in an old bottle, but it was fab to have in your handbag if you were out with the kids. I hope you are both feeling much better soon. Polka, I bet you'll be glad to see the back of those awful stairs, won't you?

    - that was such an extensive list! I was very impressed, and if we can't find something off of that, then we deserve to go without. thank you.

Raph - Congratulations on completing the half marathon in such a brilliant time. I bet you feel wonderful at the accomplishment. That spot for running looks rather nice too.

Well done on your loss this week KPC.

I've done a huge stack of ironing this morning, but that was the deal I did with myself to allow some playtime outside again. I'm off out now to check on my seedlings, and to plant out some flowers. The rain overnight will have done the garden the world of good. Back later!
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home

thanks everyine for your kind words of support and offer of friendly ears: I would expect nothing less of this lovely forum and I wouldn't hesitate to take up the offers if and when I needed to. I am more than ok, just doing the 'accepting this as part of life' routine and the feeling is much more background already.
Todays biggest problem is I ache severely all over but trying not to take pain killers till really necessary: always a difficult call - I don't want my body to get to used to them, and /or develope rebound headaches. On the other hand, the pain is seriously beginning to consume too big a space in my mind so perhaps I need to take it down a peg so I can get back to ignoring it.
Staving off the dreading 'next stone up' category by the skin of my teeth: been a bit too fatigued recently to prep between meal snacks and a visit to butter land has been a little too frequent. Just rememebred I have some quorn sausges in th freezer I could be munching instead. Organisiation and prep is so vital to sustained weigh loss for me.

Polka - you so need to get out of that flat: thank goodness the dla means you can. Hope you are a little better now and able to get on with the cake.
Buttonmoons - :naughty: sunburnt again. Please take care of yourself. Sunburnt til you are red raw is not good.
Granny - it must be the company I keep:D Oh, and great list - can't imagine 'snacking' on brussel sprouts though:D... where was the raw swede?
Victory - great you had such a good time & Yeowch for the foot: keep an eye on that - well you know you need to with the diabetes. I am sure that small gain will come off quickly, as it is only just after the weekend.
    Raph - superb run time:T
Hey kpc - another loss!:T. Enjoy planning your kitchen - I still so love mine since I had work done in Feb. It's so cheerful and much more practical for our needs now.
nnm - I missed you asking to come off the chart: a well deserved congratualtion for reaching your goal and stopping at your bodies natural balancing piont rather than pushing for any more - I know some said when you posted your pic 'why are you trying to lose weight' but you were stopping a stone's gain from becoming 2,3, 4 stone and you have done it and toned up and got back it to regular exercise: brilliant result and example:T
dmv - I like what you said about your OH and you;how you really love each other, but there are some bits about him that make life a bit difficult. I can certainly relate to that, (in fact most if not all people in good relationships probably can) though I do utterly love being with my OH. One of the posters on another forum I visit, has in her signature:
True love is not a feeling by which we are overwhelmed. It is a committed, thoughtful decision.
    I like that.
Beanie - sorry life is hard work for you at the mo: my colleague has a son just a year ahead of yours and I've certain lived throughquite a few issues they've had with him these last few years, so can see the stress & frustration a teenager can bring to parenting. On top of that you are managing by yourself and have major health/mobility issues so total respect.
Sary - sounds like you've really got to grips with your garden. Glad the move is obviously working out so well.

Been to diy store to get 2 rails to fit into wall alcove next for our clothes... not a job I am looking forward to so might bribe the lodger for this one:D
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Victory and Polkadot --- ow! ow! ow! I hoep you're both feeling a bit better now. Pokadot's little one now joins Victory's son in the hall of fame. What wonderful children, helping out in an emergency.

BB, brussel sprouts are one of my favourite treats! A bag of ready prepared brussels, not MSE but we're talking treats here, microwaved and salted a bit ... if you eat them out of the bag it's just like having a bag of chips. Now raw turnip - that's weird.

Welcome back Raph. Lost in admiration at your running. What's with the weight loss though? I thought you were a maintainer now? (I still think the figures are wobbly - I've only lost 25.75 and the chart showed 30. something total last week. I don't want to look as if I'm claiming greater success than I've earned. But I do appreciate that trying ot keep it all straight is a nightmare ... do say when you've had enough. There are a few of us who'll take a turn)

Granny, BB and Missy - fantastic to see you are all still around - hope you have all been keeping well! Missy - are you still into running?

    Raph
    - well done you! Fantastic loss this week!

    - I must admit I've never heard of it! However my excuse for these things is that I spent most of my adult life outside Scotland - I'm very poorly traveled around these parts. However, I am moving to Clackmannanshire in the next month - anyone out that way at all?

Still into all my fitness stuff yep PLG :D Did you ever invest in that treadmill you were thinking about? Or did everything need to take a back seat to the study for a while? Any cycling?

Not sure where I was up to with the [STRIKE]slow plodding[/STRIKE] running when we last 'spoke' but I've been at 50km per week in the last couple of weeks, and just done a new PB for distance at 30km :) It's virtually all cross country / trails (can't stand traffic).
