For those who have lost a lot of weight and don't see the difference in themselves, you should get someone to take a full length picture of you. My daughter encouraged me to get dolled up on saturday night to get some "back on the market" pictures done, although I'm not sure i'm looking, so haven't posted them anywhere. But I was totally amazed to see the difference! Anyone who wants to see them can pm me, I wouldn't go outside dressed like i was that night, and i sure as hell aint posting them in public lol.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

Thanks Scottish Lass. It has been hard work, and boy do my shoulders know it, but seeing it all starting to flourish and come together is so rewarding. I'm now on the lookout for a second hand greenhouse in need of a new lease of life. I'd rather re-home than buy one, partly for £ reasons, but also from an ecological reason, as they often get left unused by the elderly who find gardening becomes too much for them. Not my elderly neighbour, mind you, who is in her 70's and uses all 3 of her greenhouses.
My name does come from a friend from New Zeland, where the author to the Hairy Maclary books is from, who nicknamed me that, and it sort of stuck with me for using online.
I'm being a very good girl so far today:
B - nimble toast x 4
L - promax high protein bar
dinner is planned to be a homemade beef casserole. It's all been totally manic here today with the house full of kids; my 4 plus 2 others, and 2 of mine were mucking about and the fridge door handle has been bashed onto the glass in the kitchen to lobby door, and it's smashed the pane of glass. Apart from it being silly, and unnecessary, the glass is original to the house, so approx. 60/70 years old, so unlikely to be able to get something like that to replace it (well, at a price we'd be able to afford anyway).

Did I tell you that I bought a horse steak while in France? I'm going to try it tonight for my tea!

PS How do you make the photo be that size? When I tried to post a photo it was MASSIVE and I gave up.
The drawers under the hob:
top one is full of our pots and pans. Second one has our slow cooker, baking pans, food mixer and whizzy stick thing, flask. They are really great: i do hate having to ferret in the back of cupboards at floor height.
I only discovered how to shrink the photos yesterday and I'm really chuffed so can post them a little more easily here now. I upload my photos using tinypic.com One I've uploaded there is an option to change the size, and this is thumbnail size.
Sary - the changes in your garden although subtle make such a differnce: looks so inviting.
Vix - I hate the texture of cake too, though it is only in recent years I've realised thisis why I never ate it. Never had a cake as a kid for my birthday: mum always did fun things with bananas or what ever I was into. She stuck candles in a melon once LOL.
Raph - wouldn't have recoginised you from that photo. Great to have a record of your achievement.
Ah, but seren are you one of those sparkly yoyo's that light up when going up and down:D
Raph - can you change my figures to read over all loss at -1lb please. Life's too short to explain how or why...I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -

I've kept the largest pair of trousers that I used to wear, it was when they were becoming too tight that I decided to lose weight - I was resolute that I was not going to buy the next size up.
I put them on from time to time and parade infront of the family saying 'look how big I used to be' - they're not impressed anymore, it's all 'old hat'
The other thing I did once was to put all the weight I had lost into a rucksack, I used encyclopedias, tins, etc. I staggered around the house and it became very clear to me why my knees had started to become dodgy - I never have any problems with my knees now.
