Ok I am posting to get rid of my narky feeling! Got sausages out of the freezer to have sausage and mash tonight, OH saw them and was happy. I was/am hungry quite early for me so decided to start prepping the potatoes and just as I shouted up to OH that I was gonna put dinner on he announced that he had some important phone calls to make and that he had to do them now so would just order a kebab later. So now I have had to put sausages and potatoes in the fridge until tomorrow and "find" something for just me to eat or have kebab later. I have had a small amount of cous cous which I didnt fancy (unusually) and am now trying to resist snacking until i can steal some of OH's chicken and salad at god knows what time that will be. GRRRR!
SCOTTISH LASS - good luck with the interview!0 -

Good luck Scottish Lass! Hope it goes well.
Mazza - thanks for the pics. You look like a completely different woman, and I think you'd have no trouble pulling in that skimpy number and boots! lol
dmv - I think I'd be narked too. I sometimes don't want to eat at the times my BF wants to, as I'd like to go with how my body feels some days, but he is very regimented. On those occasions I see it as a bit of a challenge to my will-power, and try very hard to not make a really bad decision, and eat within reason. The easiest way to do this is to decide that I have a maximum allowance of calories to eat, and fit something into this, even if it's just nibbling at various things. What about a bowl of cereal to satisfy the initial hunger, and then you'll make a better choice after that with anything extra. Maybe if you don't eat some of OH's kebab, he'll see how inconvenient it was for you. Personally, I'd have cooked the sausages and mash, and left his plated up for him to microwave later on, but enjoyed mine fresh, but hey, I don't dance to other's tunes very easily after all these years! ha ha
In answer to Granny's earlier question, of how to keep a measure of weightloss achieved, I think I chart mine by constantly trying on the smaller items I have kept in my wardrobe over the years. Some I never really got to wear, as I never felt comfortable enough. Today I put on a tshirt that the last time I wore it, over 2 years ago, it was a bit too snug, and remembered being rather self-conscious on the one time I wore it. It fits fine today, and I think I'd happily wear it out now, without feeling my lumps and bumps would be obvious (though they're still there, just a bit smaller). I tried on some trousers a couple of weeks ago, thinking I'd have lost enough weight to fit back into them, and found they were actually too big for me, so I've missed them completely. There are still a couple of pairs of smart, suit trousers that are more fitted that I can fit into, but are still a bit snug, so more shrinking is needed for them.
Today has been my new starting point, so if anyone else is feeling they've reached a stumbling point, or have got stuck like me, then why not decide to start all over too? I was really 'up' for it back in January, and that initial impetus waned over the weeks, and having best part of 2 months STS's hasn't helped. Now I'm going to be much more strict with myself, chart my eating daily again, and try to stay as active as possible, which is what I did back then. My short-term goal is to lose 1 stone in 8 weeks, which will give my confidence a real boost, just in time for a big family party, and for our holiday.
Food today:
B - nimble x 4
L - promax bar & banana
snack - snack a jacks
D - h/m beef casserole & small dollop of mashOne day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
