Morning all. I have tried to type this message three times but my usually lovely dog has reverted back to being a puppy today and is throwing herself on my laptop for fuss grrrrrrrr! I have the yahoo group saved but its not down for that long compared to last time.

IM WORTH IT - good luck with your first week. Try to post during the week as everyone here finds it really helpful to keep them on track/give them a boost/get over the little slip ups we all have and also have a laugh and enjoy the friendship and support on this thread which is invaluable when trying to make such a big lifestyle change.

OH bought me a magazine and a flyte bar yesterday which was nice of him but I have to say milkways are much nicer. Gonna wake up properly then have some cereal and then scrambled eggs on nimble for a late lunch. Think dinner will be spag bol, not the healthiest meal in the world but I havent done it in ages and I wont have a huge portion so should be ok. Hope victory has a good wedding weekend, her posts really made me realise that this is a lifestyle change. I keep thinking about my holiday and even though I'm gonna let up I havent decided how much. Do I just say stuff it and eat what I want when I want, or do I make an effort to resist some of the treats? Thing is the treats I have on holiday I generally only have on holiday, like the homemade ice cream in the best ice cream parlour around. I will have to make sure I do some "proper" swimming aswell as splashing about and play the rest by how I feel each day I think.

I hope youre reading missy!! I only went for a run last night!!

    :T:T Go you!!!! :D

Everyone starts somewhere and it's not even a year yet since I went for those first few forays myself ;) So I know exactly what it's like! Don't worry about feeling unfit or anything like that, just go at your own pace and do what you feel capable of. The improvements come quite naturally!

I've got a working kitchen sink again! :j:j:j Suddenly, washing up the dishes is a joy.

Vix - make sure you've got proper shoes. I started jogging (very little and very slowly) and have had to give up, temporarily I hope, because my shins hurt so much. Now they are a bit better I'm going to a runners shop this week to be fitted. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: (I just hope they don't laugh TOO much when they see me trying to jog)

Reporting a 2lb gain this week, that's the most I've put on in a week since starting my weight loss/maintaining journey. I'm not too concerned because according to my scales I've lost fat but gained muscle.

I exercised 5 out of the 7 days, which included 3 hikes (totalling 17.4 miles), 2 bike rides (19 miles), a gym session and my horseriding lesson. No wonder my muscles are growing :D

As it was sunny here in Grannyland we thought we'd eat in the garden, barbecued steak :j:j to make a change from all the microwaved food we've had recently. Would have been good except that a baby blackbird had fallen out of its nest in the clematis just where our garden chairs are. We thought that to give the mum and dad bird a chance to rescue it we should stay indoors ..... so just crept out now and again to attend to the barbequeue .(sp?) Really needed Vix here - she knows all about rescuing little birds ......
