hi guys,
bloody glorious in my mothers south eastern south facing garden today. Feels a good 20 here.
Matt and i went out this morning and he got a tv. 469 for a 42 inch tv. I didnt complain because it was in his savings AND the monaco grand prix looked wonderful on it! I sooo wanna go to that, monaco has vicki written all over it.
Granny: shame about the bird, trouble is if you touch it thats it. If it was in danger of dying and the parents didnt come back in half an hour i would have either wacked it on the barbie or tried to rescue it. What was the outcome? Oh and my trainers are velcro reeboks with pink stitching. Look ace, but probably not the best to run with. Trouble is my feet closely resemble that of an 80 year olds so i wont fork out for new ones, plus i doubt i will keep up with it!!
Does anyone know how fussy the greeks are on people being fat? My friends and i are possibly going to go to greece later on in the year but now im putt off cos my friend is greek and she says she feels fat when she goes back home and shes a size 8!!
I havent got any sun block on my face, im doing a scary here. I feel bad but i wanna enjoy the sun so im going to risk an extra wrinkle on my face for it.0 -
Hiya peeps,
I didn't stay to class this week or last and don't know tha password for slimming world. Any help would be appreciated....0 -
Not to worry, I've got it.0

Thanks Mazz - will pass that on. Yes - I do get a buzz for doing it myself once it is done. I've know got 6 book shelves in place and full of books so I feel I have achieved something today.
I'm glad Matt got his tv vix, AND you're getting a holiday. If the weather is anything like this, Cornwall (and the long term forecast is for a hot summer) will be fab.
If we do get more hot weather I will have to go clothes shopping, which I don't enjoy very much but there's nothing worse than only having wintery clothes that fit well when it's baking. I'd love to have a personal shopper who could find me 5-6 items that mix and match that I'll look great in that don't cost very much.
Tea tonight is cold roast chicken (HEB)from yesterday, potato wedges with cajun spices and baked beans so an sw green day.
Lunch was lentils & HEb feta & mint jelly
bkast was an apple I think.
Granny - I had that gait test done about 4 years ago and tried on about 12 pairs of trainers but it was really worth it. Although I don't run, I do walk in mine and they are so comfortable and well worth the whole experince: I will always buy trainers that way from now on.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Well I suppose I'd better admit a 1lb gain for this week. The plan to make a real effort last week went slightly west - something to do with my low resistance to offers of cream cakes
I will definitely make more effort this week, the only potential blip is a night out on Thursday, but its fancy dres and the tightness of my costume doesn't allow eating, drinking or moving much :rotfl:. Fingers crossed my intentions last all of next week.

well done sandra! vixstar, whats your costume? been out in the garden today using my scrounged hedge cutter which is fab. And, inspired my sary, i dragged everything out of the shed, swept it(with a very close eye for the harry potter-esque spiders in there) and put it all back. I was even saintly enough not to throw away all OHs bits of wood that are in there. Seeing as he's come round to the idea of the extension I need to keep him onside. BB hope your drilling went well - i can't do any in my house as the walls are all made from concrete with bits of rock in them. My dad has to bring his monster drill over and we usually go through a pack of drill bits for something as simple as securing a book case to the wall.0

Update on the blackbird ..... especially for Vix .....
Well it was gone by this morning. I think the mummy and daddy birds flew down to it and lifted it back up into the nest, carefully supporting it under its wings.:o Or maybe a fox ate it. We certainly didn't whack it on the barbie! They're still busy flying in and out of the clematis with more worms so we still don't have full use of the garden for us.
Coo BB you are clever!0 -
KPC it's a superheroes themed party I decided to go as catwoman and loosely based my costume on the Halle Berry version - the thought of a PVC catsuit was a little too much for me.0

Hi all. I've had a fab day but have a red neck and shoulders from not realising how hot it was. I spent a good hour and a half gardening which is shocking, considering my idea of gardening is cutting the grass and weeding. Then watched the grand prix before going to the pub for lunch/dinner and drinks. Now if that wasn't bad enough I'm sitting here covered in chocolate bourbon crumbs! I never buy biscuits because I cant just have one, so am expecting a bad couple of days and a resulting gain. Now I know I'm supposed to be all positive and start afresh again but I really have lost my motivation at the minute. I have got to that stage where although I still have a good way to go I dont feel all that bad about myself anymore (dont exactly feel great either tho) and just want to be on holiday now. I should be doing loads of uni work and eating healthy in prep for holiday, but instead I am just enjoying the sun and spending more time with my OH. Hardly a crime, but I'm not as focused as I should be. Am gonna have to pull the uni work tho as I have to teach myself everything for an exam on friday...eeeek!
All this talk of trainers and gait tests, I am in awe!0
