Hello everyone, and hi the newbies.
A quiet day at home, and I had a visit from one of my friends, which was a nice break from the ironing, although I then went back to it.
I felt blummin awful after tea though, and don't know if it's a bug, or just something I ate, but let's just say it painfully shot through me! Have just had a shower, and am feeling a tad achy, but better (I'm still not trusting a trump, mind you)!:o
Food was a bit haywire, I'm so demotivated, and no idea why....? I think there's a saying for it, something like 'I'm in a bit of a funk'. It could be the weather, which has been quite stormy here today, and I can't get on outside. I'd like to sort out some raised beds to plant some veggies in, but I'm not doing it in the rain, no siree bob.
I've not had mega good sleep for several days now too, which definitely seems to have a knock-on effect. I'll hope for better tonight. I need to plan my meals, and stick to them, I can't excuse eating carbs anymore.
Food today:
B - wholemeal toast & marmalade
L - tuna mayo roll
D - burger in bun with veggies & beans (I think beans dont' agree with me anymore)
A big fat STS for me please unknown3rd, primarily because I totally forgot to weigh in this week! One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

how exciting granny. I've been thinking about kitchens a lot today, and I'm going to ring the bank today and see what the details are for extending the mortgage to do some work on mine. it's exciting but scary at the same time.0

Sary if you feel demotivated go back to your book with the measurements in, what you eat when you eat, exercise more, get more fresh air especially in htis lovely sunshine we are having now, I go for more walks, even if it is just around the block, meet the neighbours and chat about their flowers in their garden etc, it makes their day to talk to someone, some of them have no one during the day and it makes me happy and them so win win, remember what size you used to wear and what you are in now, how far you have come and how hard you struggled to get there that will make you motivated to keep going, the end is somewhere in sight:D
The wedding this weekend because of bank holiday monday is turning into a 3 day family get together and we have been invited to the wedding, the barbecue and the day out on monday, I have been scribbling down possible cal intake, the eating scenarios but also have been trying to keep calm and think that at BBQ they give you salad at the wedding buffet I don't have to eat the pate or the bread rolls etc, at this rate this is another thing I will ruin for myself just by being me:rolleyes:0 -

Just popping in on my way to playgroup. I still feel like pants but if I dont get these kids out today, heads will roll. I woke up with a headache again-but at least I managed to keep mash and beans down last night-although the smell of the sausies did not bode well.
Still not heard from ll yet about dates. Matt says he got hold of him yesterday but he said he would have to call us back-and he didn't:rolleyes:0 -

You see with me, yes I can eat the salad/coleslaw side of it but I see it all laid out and think 2 things 1, it is free:D and 2. it is going to be lovely so why not have some?:D
I was going to wear a cream suit, my mother wore one last year and I thought it was very classic and stylish but mine is more bordering on whitish so have not got the braveness to wear it incase someone says white? so have gone for the red dress but the red dress has a hell of job of the side zip doing up so OH keeps saying I am ruining my own day, oh decisions:rotfl::rotfl: I think what you wear you have to feel comfortable in, the best clothes out of your wardrobe without breaking the bank, look stylish and classic so white long skirt and blue seems fine to me, at the last wedding there was every colour from vivid pink to the more subdued silvers, creams, caramels, pastels:D remember no one but no one is going to come up to you and say anything about the colour;)0 -
Thank you Victory - such wise words from you, as usual
Moonflower, the outfit you've described sounds fine, and ideal for a summer wedding. As Victory said, it's important that you feel comfortable, especially has you'll be wearing it all day.
I was given a dress a few years ago, when a friend was off-loading lots of her old clothes, and it's a lovely deep red evening dress, and I'd assumed it was a size 12/14 - I've looked at the label and it says US size 8!! Does that make it a 10? I can get the bottom half up OK, if tight, and the zipper goes halfway, but my boobs are just too enormous to get in there! How disappointing. Even if I got down to a size 10 on the bottom (hahahahaha as if!) my boobs would still be there. I've lost 2 stone and am still a 36E/F, which makes me a size 14 on top now, not an 18. I've lost the weight from across my back, and although my boobs aren't as 'full' they're still a good handfull Looks like I'll never get to wear it now, and it is such a gorgeous dress. It also means I'll have to find a new outfit to wear, which means money and shopping - urgh! Hopefully by July, when the party is, there will be some good sales.
I am going to go out in the garden today and see if I can make a start on my raised vegetable beds, as the rest of the garden is coming together nicely, and the flower beds are starting to bloom. My BF is really happy with how it's changing, and is now not just a blank, messy patch of grass.
Victory - I'm going to go back to using Foodfocus again, which I got out of the habit of doing when there was a bandwidth problem, and then when I was moving house. My BF said last night we should be going for a walk each night if it's nice weather, so we'll do that too. I will also have a read back through the old LW thread from the start of the year to recapture that zeal we all had back then.
Oh, this will give you all a chuckle... how does a woman in her early 40's explain why she has what looks like a lovebite on the front of her neck? My skin marks up really easily, if I ever throw up I look like I've got some sort of pox with blood blisters all over me, and BF was nuzzling my neck yesterday, and it's left this awful mark. My youngest noticed it first thing this morning, so I told him we'd had a pillow fight, and daddy had caught me with a swift blow. Ooer missus! Dreading my teenagers seeing it - how embarrassing, and not the weather for a scarf is it?One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
