Hey everyone
Welcome aboard to the new peeps
Nice pics guys, I remember last time we swapped pics there were a lot of comments about none of us really needing to lose weight :rotfl:
All's going well here with the new calorie allowance and new eating plan, I know it's only my fourth day, but I'm surprised how well it's suiting me so far. I'm on a 2000/day allowance, split into 6 meals (5x 300 and 1x 500 roughly) evenly spaced at approx 2 hour intervals between 9AM and 7PM.
I'm keeping an eye on the scales daily at the moment and it's looking extremely encouraging. If it carries on like this I'll have no problems (but something tells me it won't be quite that simple).
Anyway, big effort last week with the old exercise... here goes:- Monday: Off road cycling 40.4km | 157 mins | 836 cal | Run 10.1km | 80 mins | 628 cal
- Tuesday: Walk 7km | 77 mins | 364 cal | Swim 1500m | 48 mins | 276 cal | Walk 7.5km | 85 mins | 443 cal
- Wednesday: Nothing
- Thursday: Run 30km | 228 mins | 1770 cal
- Friday: Rest
- Saturday: Exercise bike | 40 mins | 196 cal
- Sunday: Run 10.1km | 75 mins | 562 cal
Phew!

Come on Missy - try to do a little more! What was with Saturday ONLY 40 mins on the bike?;)
Seriously, If I could do a smidgin of what you do I'd be a very happy granny. I started trying to jog - just a bit - on the treadmill and after a few weeks was up to 2 mins jog, 1 minute walk repeated for 8 goes. But now my legs hurt SO much down the front from the knee that I've stopped. I'm guessing that I need proper shoes (11 stone of granny must be a lot for my little bones to bear). Now even walking is OOOUUUCCHHHH.
PS Would have posted this on one of those exercise threads but I like it better here.
Welcome new people. Do keep posting - it's good on here.
nmm, mazza, buttons your photos are lovely - great boobs, slim, beautiful eyes, you all look super.0 -
Hello everyone
I havent caught up as such (although I did have a squizz at the photos;))
All I've had today is my vitality breakfast. I had my cd21 tesyt so had to fast for 8 hours before. She took 6 viles and I feel SO nauseous now. I was also really peeved because she insisted on using my left hand:mad: Thats how her office is set up she says-she cant get to my right arm. So being my gimp arm and all, I couldnt straighten it-and being tense just made it worse. She poked me four times and then wanted to use the top of my hand!!!!0 -
LOL Granny! I know, I tend to slack off at weekends... tsk!
I also started running with run/walk intervals, but they don't recommend that method over on DFW running club because of the injury risk (worth a little search as they explain the reasons better than I could).
For calorie burn purposes I find treadmill incline walking compares very well with treadmill jogging. A treadmill walk at 5.2kph on 15% incline will typically get my heart rate going 1-3bpm faster than a 8-9kph jog at 1-2% incline.
Obviously, don't attempt anything till those legs are better though0 -
Missy I don't know how you do it. I can do a 10k run in one day on its own, I may be able to do a gentle swim the next day but ANY walking is absolute agony - keeps the guys in my office amused. Not having much time for my running at the moment as I'm training with a team lunch times and evenings till 6pm. I suppose I could go and fit in a run now as I'm sure I'm not burning many cals with the team training but it is getting a little late and I'm hungry - although not starving hungry (iykwim) like last week. So much for the straight and narrow today had a biscuit and a fruit pie and a chocolate cake. Must learn to say no but I feel rude. ALthough the guys in my office said I'd lost loads of weight which is great. I'd like to dig out some before and after pics as before I always felt whale huge compared to everyone I worked with and my friends, now I think I wouldn't stick out so much.0

That's what I'm hoping too, Vixstar. Well I don't mind my top half sticking out .... it's the tummy that bothers me more.0 -

Beanie: I think Granny summed up the dreams thing beautifully! I said to matt today that i want to start trying for a baby in the month of september so its born in may, and he said ok thinking i meant this september! ha. Im like no, just the month. Its funny how some plans and dreams come through and others don't. What is meant to be will be! Sorry to hear about your muscle tone though, and i hope you're feeling more scottish perky today.
Ive eaten BADLY today:
Breakie: toast with anchor + earl grey
Tea break: kit kat chunky
