Welcome Sunnysea - a stone in 7 weeks isn't unrealistic, per se, but after having had such a big loss already - WELL DONE! - it may be that your body might be hanging on to the last stone rather well. The fact that you've relaxed a little of late could almost work in your favour, and your last 'push' before the holiday will pay off. It sounds like you know exactly what it is you have to do to achieve, so keep up the good work, and you'll find lots of support on here. We find that those posting regularly (daily), definitely seem to stay on track, and have long term success (we have those maintaining here, as well as losing). One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Happy to report a 3Lbs loss this week :j:j:j:j:j
Happy to say that I am now under the 13 stone mark. Which is quite an achievement. I am so surprised I didn't gain this week, but maybe it will hit next week, however, am gonna work extra hard not to see 13 stones on the scales again ..
Here we go for next week :j
4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
WELL DONE MAZZA! Getting under that stone barrier is a brilliant achievement! I think I need to become a bit more motivated again as I have let things slide a little this past couple of weeks while my energy has been elsewhere. I FINALLY finished the horrible essay that has been hanging over me for months! Once my presentation is done on wednesday (very nervous!) I need to start exam revision and another essay but thats ok, I'm just so happy to have finished this one! Think it calls for OH to have a kebab, and I can steal a bit of the chicken to go with my cous cous as a celebration!
Oh and welcome sunnysea, you are doing brilliantly already!0 -
Well done Mazza.
Welcome Sunnysea.
It looks like a few of us need to put a little more effort in this week. I will definitely be making a huge effort to post on here daily as I find 'confessing' helps me focus and make the best choices...and will hopefully help me avoid the biscuit tin this week.0 -
well done loosers:j:j:jwelcome newbies:D
I have had an awful day and it is entirely my fault, was offered a carvery from OH turned it down, money and cals, agreed to go for a drink, diet coke no cals, rowed because I was twitchy and nervous about money and cals and instead of sitting in the sun wiling away the hours having together time ended up like those couples you see sitting together but not connecting or sharing just looking around desperate to think of something to say but can't:rolleyes: while we waited for little one to finish cubs so the nightmare of sitting there like that could be over the time seemed to stand still, awful and so my fault, I have to find the relax, enjoy, take it easy chill gene but instead find the how much is this going to cost how much weight am I going to put on stressy gene:rolleyes:0 -
Hello Sunnysea :hello: congratulations on your weight loss so far, you have done well.
14lb in 7 weeks is on the limit of achievable, I've always based sensible weight loss (that will stay off) at 1 - 2lb per week (so 10lb is slightly more realistic if you are to avoid being drastic).
If you are a little 'stuck' at the moment how about keeping a food diary and logging portion size and calories, that might identify what you need to change in your current routine to get it moving again. Or, you could just introduce some additional exercise.
I find adjusting the food easier than adding exercise. It's quicker to not eat a Snickers (Marathon to us oldies) at 295 calories than to do an hours exercise to work it off.

Victory, it's only easy to not worry about money when you have enough and know that you will continue to have enough. In the current climate, that is easier said than done for a lot of people.
Also, when you have achieved what you have with your weight loss, you want to hang on to it and not let it slip away.
It's not easy keeping everything balanced and everyone happy.
