Hello Ragz looking forward to getting to know you.
Having brekkie and then off to shower and get ready for playgroup. Im going to look at house near our favorite park (which takes us about 15 minutes to walk to).
Had a really good nights sleep last night...in my bed...next to DF for a change:D and have been up since 5.30.
I spoke to my dad last night, he is such a sweet and amazing man ( now why didn't I know that when I was 22?). He had wanted me to apply for DLA when we first came over because he thought it had something to do with travel help. I tried to explain that it wasnt that simple and all my visits to benefits office etc claimed that I was "not disabled enough"...you know how the story goes. He was so excited! But then he got worried and started...I need to my research about the business, am I allowed to work...I tried to explain that yes, I can. My application didnt claim I couldnt work-just that the type of work I can do is limited. He insisting on speaking to DF to ask if I had my facts right? The answer was so funny...Matt says to him "Noah (thats our nickname for my dad because Noah was the big boss of the ark-and thats how my dad led our family) I don't have a clue-I don't organise our lives...she does. I say I want new bits of tools or furniture or whatever, she finds it.I say we need about another £200 a month to make a difference to our lives-she finds £400. I go to work every day, I do what my boss tells me, I come home and I cook dinner and bath DS".:rotfl:More tears of course.

Hello Ragz, welcome to this lovely thread. Lots of great advice, and marvellous support to be found. If you're having a 'Yay! day' then we'd love to hear, but if you're have a 'Grrr! day', then we'd love to hear that too, because we like to share. I love the sound of the 'pointless soup', and I like KPC's idea that it's Emo, hah! It just made me think that it was so unappetising it was hardly worth eating, but then realised it was to do with WW points counting.

Reporting in a STS again! TOTM is 10 days late, but has finally put in an appearance - feeling very bloated, and sore lady bumps, so hope to see a good result again next week. Will report in later.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

    Classic :rotfl:

Thanks for the tip about the supreme dessert shakes, haven't tried that before. I like making them into ice lollies too :D

I have my monthly weigh in tomorrow, and it's not going to be good news. I'm a little disappointed because I've done so well since last September and this is the first month where it's gone to pieces.

So I now know that 1800-1900 calories/day isn't the right amount to sustain 10 hours of exercise a week without gaining, but I do know 1750/day can sustain 7 hours. Given that elite female athletes are supposedly on 3000+/day, I'm wondering if I dare try 2000? :o

I'm also 'loading up' today because I'm hoping to do my weekly long run tomorrow, so that really isn't going to help matters on the scales :rotfl:

It ain't easy, is it folks?! :p

p.s. I'm another one who's been lucky enough to turn a hobby into first a sideline, then a career :)

Morning all, I'm very happy to report a 1.5lb loss please raph. Which given TOTM, a takeaway at the weekend, wine and some chocolate is pretty amazing and means that I must be getting it right most of the time! The ww pointless soup can be strange, as I have never liked my version or my sisters or aunts, but my nans version of it is divine! How does that work?! However after my soup obsession I have gone right off of soup in general so am having a break from it.

Am gonna go have some cereal then get showered and hobble round the park with the dog, then crack on with some uni work as I really dont have time to put it off (even for health reasons) as its due in on Monday!!! Good luck with weigh in's everyone.

Well done all losers and STS'!

My mum was just down, and she was over at those guys house last night for an hour gossiping (I still haven't heard about the house swap) anyways, they DO like my flat, but their uncle has a terminal illness, like parkinsons or huntingtons, and he's taken a turn for the worse, and also they have both started new jobs so it's been put on the back burner for a bit, which I don't mind, but someone from my building (WHO I HATE!) went to view their house on Sunday, and they viewed hers, thankfully they don't like her flat, because she has decorated it all green in every room practically (and I don't think they want to spend ages redecorating, my walls are all cream except for Keira's room) and she is too low down in the building (4th floor, I'm 8th) and her view is rubbish (mine looks out onto the big park) anyways he didn't really like her either because she was acting like she had already had his house and 2 of her 3 kids were out knocking on random peoples houses!

The thing is, I don't even know why she went to view the house and think she has a chance of getting it (even if they DID like her flat) because she has 3 kids, and the council won't let her swap into a 2 bed house when she has 3 kids (2 girls 1 boy) because she needs a 3 bed! Idiot, maybe I'm ranting because she's a loud mouth chavvy b!tch :)

    Ahhhhhhh feel better now though.
