Polka - No-one with half a brain cell would want to swap that area for where I am, I've only struck lucky because they hate it there, allergic to grass so don't want a garden, can't deal with stairs as one person has a bad back, needs to be close to commute to work, they could get rid of a car if they lived here etc etc.

    They just better do it!

Sounds like u live in an area like i do bm. I would move back into a flat just to get out of this monstrosity. You have my sympathy, hope it all goes through for you.

POLKADOT - in that case I would presume he has either presumed that you dont want to stay there as you havent contacted him (which would be stupid as I'm sure he could have just picked up the phone and called you) or that he maybe wants to put the rent up and didnt think he would be able to do that to you? Either way I would give him a call if you can and see whats going on, hopefully he will be happy for you to stay on a rolling contract like you said. Theres a chance he would have to give you notice even at the end of your contract? Right thats been hard to type when Im feeling drunk and trying to sober up with chocolate lol. Have decided as its my birthday tomorrow I'm allowed to indulge!More chocolate...

HI all wasn't going to post until WI tomorrow but my shiny new digital bathroom scales arrived to day and I could not help myself (interested to discover my jeans weigh 2lbs!). Happy to see I have lost 2lb since last thursday. Unfortunately had my brother and his girlfriend over for dinner and they brought chocolates, so may all be back on tomorrow! Though actually considering how I used to be with the stuff (and that I haven't had any proper choocie for weeks) I was pretty restrained. Hoping that having kept within my daily amounts all week it won't show tomorrow.
Re pointless soup, I have to say I made easy peasy tomato soup with no "points" and actually served it at dinner with the inlaws yesterday and they thought it was gorgeous. I made a veg one last week (WW have several recipes but I just make it up) and it was nice but couldn't eat it every day. This tomato one I could eat for breakfast and it's sooo filling. But as tomatoes are easily digested and have no fat or carbs it's great for dieting. Means I can have a treat after and still feel virtuous lol!
BTW did used to be a bit of an Emo though!

I'm anxiously awaiting my fitness dvd and video I ordered off Amazon the other day (MOS Pump it Up and Barbara Currie's Yoga). Both replacements for ones I used to have but kids broke/lost. I borrowed a Pilates one off a friend the other day and it was rubbish, cheap £2.99 supermarket special, also went round all the charity shops and couldn't find a single one. Fitness videos are about all the exercise I can do at home, plus I really enjoy those two so I am sooo looking forward to having them again. Just not sure what to so with the husband while I try to do them, don't expect I can persuade him to join in!

Here I am! I couldn't find the concrete mixer. I didn't like to look under the tarpaulin in the garden: who knows what the strange lumps lurking there could be? So I just did the washing up in the bath again.

Happy Birthday for tomorrow dmv, hope the chocolate and alcohol hangover isn't too bad.
