dmv, get yourself to a&e, or if not a&e do you have a minor injuries unit nearby? You always think that a break should be agony, but often it isn't. I've heard so many stories from so many people that end '. . . .after walking around with it for xx weeks i found out it was broken'. And you don't want the mto have to rebreak it because it's healed wonky. take care of yourself!
i went to mum and dads last night and stayed on track food wise, woo hoo! making hte curry out of latest sw mag for tea tonight and hopefully having a glass of wine for my syns mmmmm. victory, glad to hear you made a decision on the wii, and you are quite rightly very proud of your son for his actions today. laters all . . . .0 -
Its so quiet on here! KPC - I really dont think it is broken, but I will try to get a doctors appointment for monday morning and get it looked at just to be sure. I can justify that more than a trip to A&E. Well done for staying on track foodwise.0

it is quiet on here. Just a flying visit peeps as i didn't post yesterday - I was either sleeping (as was OH on 1st day off in 10 days and won't get another for a week) or doing batch cooking in the kitchen.
I've read all the posts - forgive me for not replying individually at the mo: feeling good toay and want/need to get practical things one and try not to spend to much time on here:o. Laters I want to visit a couple of local 'open houses ' that are a part of our 3 week festival here.
PS Victory: that was a beautiful post about your OH and then DS yesterday.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Really pleased to report a 2.4lb loss which was a pleasant suprise and puts me into the next stone. I'm pretty happy with my size now but going to keep on going to try and hit my target and get my bmi into a healthy zone and then work out how to reduce my body fat0

My doctors out of hours is a home visit and I wouldnt make some poor doctor do that on a sunday. I will get an appointment tomorrow, even if its not with my own doctor and if they want to xray I will probably feel relieved even though I'm probably just being a big wimp and its a sprain.
Im sleeping so much lately, and when I wake up I can dose on and off untill I force myself to get up, by which time I've had too much sleep and feel groggy! Gonna have to get strict this week with getting up and getting stuff done, as I have done barely anything this week and its not on! Am gonna go tuck into some cereal and wake myself up. Am doing roast with lamb chops for OH and roast with a massive turkey leg/ drumstick for the dog as it was cheaper than her usual food (!) and cant decide if I should have a lamb chop (there are 4 stuck togther and defrosting) or a bit of turkey, probably wont decide till I dish up!
BB - I hope you have a productive day and you and your OH enjoyed your extra sleep!0 -
I have a 900g Gain again this week. I am really stuck now...was just looking at food focus and its been four weeks that I'm just "stuck" between 89 and 90 kilos. I cant move it. I've been looking to see what it is but everything has been the same-I assume that is now the problem. So how do I change it. Im off to right down everything I do. I've just got used to how I eat-so I think Id prefer to change the exercise. I went to have a llie down last night at 6pm and asked DF to wake me in an hour and a half. He didn't...and I woke up at 11am today:eek: So its thown out my eating and my charting and its mothers day back home and DF has yet to phone his mum and sister(who had her first baby last week) and thats just adding to how irritated I am.0

Hello everyone,
dmv - I hope your ankle feels a lot better soon, and that resting it will help. I get into a pattern of lethargy if I allow myself to sleep too long, or have lots of lie-ins, such as during the school summer hols. I then end up going to be far too late. I now try to fit in with BF's sleep pattern, and it is better.
Victory - the Wii can be replaced when finances improve, if you want to, but your family have shown how much more important they are. Well done to your little boy, what a star, and he thoroughly deserves a McD's.
BB - I hope you get your jobs done, and enjoy your time off.
Vixstar - well done on that great loss!
Polka - that's a marathon sleep! You must have been very tired. Hope you feel better for the rest.
On Friday I had my night out with the girls, and that was nice, although the restaurant we were in had 2 large group tables on the go, and the noise levels were just a bit too much for us. Halfway through the evening one of the girls I was with had to have a couple of Solpadene! I tried to eat sensibly, and definitely wasn't over stuffed. I had chicken tikka for my starter, so nice and lean, light with salad, and my main was rice (shared) with lamb pasanda, and I didn't eat all of my meat/sauce, just enough. The others all had the popadoms with pickles appetizer, but I didn't, as I wanted to save my appetite for the meal itself.
Yesterday I was at the school reunion, which I thoroughly enjoyed. We got down there for midday, and spent about 5 hours or more in the school, meeting old chums, we had a good old traditional assembly where we sang our lungs out to all our favourite hymns, and met our old teachers and deputy head. It was amazing that the school simply hadn't changed in all those years, and was exactly as it had been from the 1950's, and then how it was in the 80's for me. Not everyone was there during the daytime, because the local football team were in a match at Wembley, so there were probably more at the evening do, but my sister and I decided not to stay for that, because we had the longer journey back home. A couple of old mates were desperately trying to get me to change my mind, although I wasn't entirely sure their intentions were strictly honourable!! Boys don't change, eh? I was really pleased that a few had really put in the effort to travel over from USA, Russia and N.Ireland to be there. I'm really glad I chose to go, and didn't allow the silly 2nd thoughts to stop me. It's much easier to spot the girls when they're older than the boys; lack of hair, stubble and paunches make them harder to spot!
We stayed so much later that we missed lunch, and were going to be late home for supper, so decided to stay in town, and get a bite to eat before travelling back. We opted for a Pizza Express, where we shared a chicken pizza, salad & garlic bread, but we did then have a dessert, but we'd earned it. I had the lemon tart, which was divine. Neither of us felt stuffed afterwards, so we guessed that despite the pud, we'd probably had a reasonable amount of food, and not over indulged.
It was also nice to spend a good amount of time with my sister, who despite living less than a mile from me, I rarely see.
Food will need to be refocused and I will get more aligned, in order to meet my next target. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
Polka it happens quite often during weight loss that you stick at a weight. Think you're doing all the right things to solve it - it is really frustrating tho.0

POLKA I had weeks also where it was a STS, more exercise they reckon, or at least variations of the ones you already do and to write it all down including drinks and sugars in teas etc to see if there is any extra cals you can shed or that you did not realise you were consuming:D0
