Well its official...I've cried! I sneezed and jolted my ankle which made me scream in pain and then cry hysterically. I am trying to walk normally but its giving way and terrible pain. Have had ice on it for 3 hours and its taken down some of the swelling but the pain is still there. OH is saying if it was a break it would be more swollen, so its a bad sprain but that he would take me to the hospital if I wanted...obviously I refused as Im not gonna go to A&E for a sprained ankle, no matter how painful. Annoying that its the weekend though, as If its this bad again tomorrow I would of liked to get the doctor to have a quick look and maybe strap it or whatever, not to mention pain killers (my normal ones are area and pain specific, eg they make my back and legs turn to jelly, but cant get rid of a headache etc!). Hopefully it will significantly improve overnight, and I will also stop sneezing!

Food wise I have to admit to having a curry tonight, OH wanted it (Im now realising why I put weight on when we moved in together...) but I ordered an extra rice and only had 3 pieces of meat so that OH has enough for dinner tomorrow, therefore I ate much less than I would of and OH gets a nice meal 2 nights running. Tomorrow I must be strict! Or cry, sneeze, limp and eat chocolate.....

DMV hope your ankle feels better soon. Have you got any Arnica in the house? When I broke my toe I used it and it turned out okay.
Just having breakfast and then off to my guild meeting-so have a good day.

DMV go see a doc for stronger pain killers

I have had two family moments that will last in my memory, reason to be alive and feel loved and cared for no 1 last night, went into the kitchen and got myself some crackers with thin slices of smoked salmon, OH looked so I went and got him some and we sat both eating the crackers and loving every minute of it, who needs fatty fast foods junk take aways?:D

The other this morning, had a massive hypo so bad can't help myself, don't know what is going on where I am what to do and can't give myself the choc or lucozade tablets because I can't find them and can't focus, I am lucky though when it gets that bad I always manage to call out a family name and htis time it was my 8 year old, he came running took one look at me and rushed off to get a choc bar and force it into my mouth, by then OH had arrived also, so proud of my little one, he knew exactly what to do, did not panic and stayed with me until I recovered and ate the choc, very proud:D

Victory that's so lovely. You must be very proud of your son. To be able to stay calm and do the right thing at his age is marvellous. What a credit to you.:T:T:T

DMV - go to A&E. You can't tell if it's a break or a sprain just by the amount of swelling. Get it checked. Colleague at work 'sprained' her ankle two weeks ago, walked around on it for the rest of the day, then went to A&E. It was broken, she's in plaster and off work for at leat four weeks. I don't want to be a scaremonger but I really think you should get it checked. :grouphug:

Well my ankle is bruised but not swollen today. I have no limp and it doesnt really hurt to walk on but wiggling side to side is still a bit painful and stairs uncomfortable but no where near as bad as yesterday, more stiff than anything. Im guessing that means it definitely isn't broken granny? OH was brought up in the RAF and had a fair bit of medical training so I have a quite a lot of faith in him, but would have gone to A&E if it still very bad today. Will just take walking easy and hopefully by monday it will be completely fine and no need to bother a doctor.

Just got up and not hungry yet, but will have scrambled egg on nimble when I am, and probably cereal later if im still hungry. Dinner will be cous cous for me, even if I add some fruit and maybe even a milkway I should still be under/on 1000 calories for today which will go someway to counteracting chocolate and take away yesterday!

BB - glad you are feeling better, and hope you enjoy your time off!

Victory, I really felt for you last night with having to sell the Wii, but this morning I got all 'choked up' reading about your little one - at times like that who needs material things. Family and friends really are everything.
