Sary I saw it too-chose to ignore it as I had about an hour to go to supper...we had a savoury pasta bake (which I cooked:D) DF has been doing supper meals for a while now...I'm just tired at the end of the day.

I did okay today-although I doubt I had enough calories. I had my vitality breakfast and a cheese baguette before the bake. I had only sweetner in my tea and coffee and I've had two litres of water...so not quite back on track but better than I have been the last few days.

I'm waiting for DF to finish watching bones so I can get on the wii. I normally watch too but I got stuck into some flowers. I have about a dozen done now (they are the little blossom type jobs) and I figured out how to do some leaves for them. Its the type of flowers on this cake: http://www.maisiefantaisie.co.uk/butterfly-wedding-cake.html although I'm not planning to copy that exactly (still thinking of a final design).

I ordered some florist wire and tape and some rose cutters and dummies so I can do a few more designs for my website. I've had these little blossom cutters for ages and I've used them once. I didnt really like them because I thought they looked more like starfish than flowers:confused:. But I've been reading more and checking some top designers sites...and I realised I was making two very big mistakes...one: I was using the wrong modelling medium-and two: I was just cutting them and not veining them. So I made a few last night with some flower paste that I made myself and voila...gorgeous little blossoms. So my project today (around the housework) is to colour some of the paste I made yesterday and start doing my blossoms in prep for my dummies to arrive-its so exciting.

Polkadot...You've probably said and I've missed it...but what are you making? Sounds very intriguing!!

Speaking of cakes...me and C are getting this chocolate cake for the wedding :) we're going to have 'Mrs & Mrs C**** iced into it!
We're also getting a plain, fruit cutting cake, for those who'd prefer that.

KPC don't ask! :eek:I think it must be just another way of saying camel toe (= hoof?) and I don't want to see the answers again -- the picture on Wikipedia is NOT nice. (Or just pm Vix - she'll know all that stuff.)

Gorgeous cake raph, I really cant understand why people spend hundreds of pounds on cakes when there are such brilliant ones like yours that are reasonably priced. My sister (£30,000 wedding, ridiculous!) had a 3 tier chocolate cake with two normal chocolate cakes and the small top one a choc covered fruit cake. Cost her about £600, I definitely prefer your way!!!

Have a horrible cough and cold, and have woke up all bunged up so feel a bit rubbish. Oh and OH wanted fish and chips last night so I got it, left half of it felt stuffed and never enjoy it half as much as he does. Gonna have some cereal for breakfast, not sure about lunch and then meatballs (that we should have had last night) for dinner.

Oh I didnt say how great it felt when I went home and EVERYONE in my family said how much weight I had lost. Also Im a bit thinner now than when I saw some of my friends 4 years ago, so I would have felt a bit rubbish to go out with them 2 1/2 stone ago, but I looked better than I used to so was relatively confident!

    Have a good day all.

The hotel we're having the meal and reception at does supply cakes, but they wanted £250!
We're trying to keep costs low (one of my managers is driving us there in his Merc, so no wedding car costs! etc) without stimping on the quality.
So far the wedding total is under £5000, and the only thing we need to get is C's dress :)

My mum had a total MSE type wedding, reception, then a buffet in a room of some pub/hotel, she hired a DJ, and rented her dress. I think it came to under £500 for the lot. They weren't bothered about churches or anything. She looked nice too :)

Well day two of Low carb (no carb!) diet, and I woke up STARVING (I slept late) so I am now tucking into a tuna salad, there is a lemon cheesecake in the fridge screaming my name haha.

I'm only doing this for a week or so, and If I don't loose weight I will be crying!

the most polite way to phrase it would be: fat front bottom!

I've been upstairs trying on a variety of outfits, and unsure which look best - grr. Will have to ask BF later, he's usually very honest and objective, but wants me to look my best too.

I'm out for a curry tonight, and have chosen an outfit to wear for that, which is a start I guess.

I am trying to stay on plan today, bearing in mind I'm out tonight.

    B - porridge
L - wholemeal roll, with corned beef (not exactly lowfat, but 124 cals a slice & v. yummy)

D - think I'll choose the chicken tikka with salad for my main course, which was lovely last time I had it. I didn't have naan last time, didn't need it, so will leave it for others to have, plus it was dripping in butter too, yeuch!

    Polka
    - I'm in love with that butterfly cake! How gorgeous is that? I had butterflies on my wedding cake for real, now I think about it. That cake was made by a friend for free, who also did all the decoration of the church, set up and decorated the village hall we used for the reception, and paid for the hire of a rolls royce corniche for our wedding car. I had a lady who I learnt about by word of mouth do my flowers, which were 3 bridesmaid posies, my headdress & large bouquet for £120! Including my dress (bought in a sale), our total wedding bill was £1500, which included a buffet meal for 70 people that we did ourselves too. I had friends & work colleagues who offered to act as 'silver service', including a lady I'd only spoken to on the phone from an employment agency who did it all for free. Shame my parents (who I was still living at home with) didn't feel it necessary to help in any way, particularly with money, and then started to invite all their friends along!:o

Not sure if BF & I will ever walk down the aisle, but it won't be extravagant, that's for sure.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home
