Morning:D x-raph thanks for putting me back on the chart, much appreciated but I have lost in total 98 lb from beginning in Jan 4th 2007 up until today:D

The lady who wanted to buy the wii has agreed to but at £50 less than I was hoping for would you sell it for that? We really need the money but the lady deep down knows she is getting a bargain, OH says no keep it but keeping it gives us no money so maybe we should take the £50 hit and have the rest?

Victory - I think I'd hang on to it, and sell it for a higher price when you can. Do you have a local supermarket board you could advertise on, or have you considered freeads online? You will definitely get the price you want later in the year, if you could just hang on. What about selling some of those bargain finds at the carboot, or have a trawl round the house/garden for spare bits? Is there a carboot you could do this weekend? I'm gathering a big bag of clothes to advertise, and have got empty perfume bottles/boxes, and even ink cartridges to advertise on ebay. People will even buy fancy/desinger carrier bags online y'know. My BF looks for bike parts that he knows are being sold too cheap, or have been advertised poorly, so are slipping through the net, and then sells them on again for a profit. If you have an area of speciality that you know the prices of things, then that's a good way to do it. Diet bars and foods sell online, eg. a Maximuscle bar for £1.95 in Superdrug (they were 3 for 2), is being sold individually on ebay for £2.13+ £2.10 p+p makes no sense, but hey ho.

Well done on the chart everyone...sorry Raph-I'm guilty...but I was chicken. TOTM and no self control last week. Still, I got on the Wii last night and coach was chuffed with me-said weight is smaller than my last visit (which was 7 days ago:eek:) and my BMI has dropped:TI must be honest I didn't take much notice of how much-but then my wii age has gone down to 40-from 56:T
I did a whole hour last night:DI didnt set out to-but I thought Id start with some yoga to stretch...did the breathing exercise and half moon (I love it coz I can actually feel my back getting to where it should be)and then I did the warrior pose for the first time ever-it wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be-but I FELT it in my legs. Then I did steps (and I managed withought losing my balance) and then I did a short distance jog.

I ordered some florist wire and tape and some rose cutters and dummies so I can do a few more designs for my website. I've had these little blossom cutters for ages and I've used them once. I didnt really like them because I thought they looked more like starfish than flowers:confused:. But I've been reading more and checking some top designers sites...and I realised I was making two very big mistakes...one: I was using the wrong modelling medium-and two: I was just cutting them and not veining them. So I made a few last night with some flower paste that I made myself and voila...gorgeous little blossoms. So my project today (around the housework) is to colour some of the paste I made yesterday and start doing my blossoms in prep for my dummies to arrive-its so exciting.
Victory dont compromise on the wii. You're selling because you NEED the money-not because your tired of it. There is little variation on the cost of the console all over because Ninetendo doesnt really make its money from the console-but rather the games and extra bits that are bought after the console. Which is why she's umming and ahhing-I call it taking advantage of someone elses misfortune (ie yours). She's obviously not desperate for it or she would snap it up, but is hoping that you are THAT desperate for the cash.

VICTORY - I would really hang on to it for now. We have a newspaper and website which is free to advertise on, and Ive seen them selling for not much less then new prices when they are in demand. Obviously you have to decide what is best for you and how much you need that money now, but I agree with sary about having a good look round for anything else to sell first.

Well I think I may have a brunch of scrambled eggs on nimble toast before I go to uni, yum! I made a stew last night with loads of veggies and it was absolutely delish! Oh had most of the meat and a dumpling so he was happy, whereas I had a small amount of meat and mash, and filled up on veg. Veg never tastes as good as it does when cooked in a stew?!

Gonna do meatballs tonight as OH loves them and its quick and easy for me. Not sure if financially things could all go pear shaped in the next few months, or alternatively slightly improve, so am very stressed. As a result I listed everything in the freezer, and went out and stocked it to the brim, to the point where My fridge is also full of meat that will make its way there over the next few days as I take things out!

Right, hope everyone has a good day!

I went waaaaaaay off piste last week and most of this week, so I didn't WI......I know fine I've gained but I'm avoiding the scales, because they will be evil!

I'm starting Low carb today, I'm visiting a friend in a fortnight and wanna shift at least half a stone before then, and be in the 11stones! I can fit into size 14's BUT they give me a muffin top and a camel toe.....which isn't very attractive, unless that's ya thing ;)

I'm not following a specific low carb plan those cambridge diet shakes will be a part of it, though not the soups that I have left because they are VILE!

Had a tuna salad with lettuce, 1 yellow pepper, cucumber, jalapenos (to get that metobolism raised!) and a splodge of cream cheese. Will have a shake later on and then scrambled eggs or something at night.

Was OH's birthday yesterday, I made him a cake, I was shocked it turned out okay because normally the sponge deflates in the middle or I burn it! It tasted like heaven, kinda like a galaxy chocolate bar! Also had a big fat steak dinner, plus things like pringles, sweets....I honestly don't know how I can pack that much food away, but I can!

By the way, my mad nutter friend in SA wants to know what recipe you used-she says it looked exactly like the chocolate cake she makes with mayonnaise?

A cake with mayonaisse? I feel like gagging! Haha.

It was a recipe out of the Tana Ramsey's cookbook (I bought it to make meals for DD but she won't touch them! Arrrrr)

My cake resembled nothing like hers though, but was yummy. I'll get the recipe on here later!

That looks good Victory! I like the sound of a lemon one, drooooool.

The problem I tend to have is with the cake tins, when I don't line them with greaseproof paper they will stick, and when I use the paper, they never turn out perfectly round! I think they are non stick ones too?

Think about the ingredients that go into mayonnaise Buttons-its just a short cut to any basic eggs and bicarb cake-I'll have to hunt out the recipe for you. When you line your tins-cut the paper a bit higher than the rim of the tin and then snip it at intervals-not too small. Fold them over the side of the tin and clip them with a few bulldog type paper clips. You can take them off once you have filled your cake tin.Oh and also cut the side paper a bit wider in the bottom (again fold over so some of it is on the bottom of the tin-also snip at intervals.) then you can line the bottom of the tin with your round of paper so that the round lies on top of the overlap of the sides (am I making sense? A tutor I am not:o) that way your paper is well lined up to the tin. When you've finished cooking your cake-leave it inside the tin for 10 minutes (pref near an open window) so that it can cool properly. If you take it out before its finished contracting properly it will lose its shape.
Another tip to prevent doming and cracking-cook cake for longer on lower temperature than stated. The reason cakes dome is that the oven is in fact too hot, so the middle outsides of the cake cook before the middle-so when the middle cooks...it expands and breaks the already cooked shell. So for example. If your recipe says to cook cake at 180c for 40-45 minutes, cook it at 160c for 60-65 minutes. You can check with a skewer anytime after the 3/4 cooking mark without damaging your cake by opening the door.

:poops-think I'll head back to my own kitchen now:o
