vix, i get v disheartened, wanting to have things now too. But the thankful feeling you get when those around you who 'got it now' and are now screwed for paying it off more than outbalances it. Everyone i know seems to havin extensiions, rebuilding their houses, or fitting exciting new kitchens and bathrooms. well, i'd kinda like that too - but if i'd gone for it, there's no way that I could have supported oh in his self employment, which means that in the future he's going to do the same for me. things have a way of working out in the end.

I did say it had taken almost 30 years and some serious saving up ..... :o:o:o

is it terribly exciting granny!!!!!! i am saving up for one too. have you waited so that you can have your dream one? I can't count how many times i have designed my dream kitchen, both one for hte house i live in and one for the house i'd get if i won the lottery. sorry, i get kitchen envy. oh worries that i get more excited about b&q than jewellery shops. earrings get lost, but a pull out floor to ceiling larder with built in recycling bins? THATS love.

sorry, so busy getting a gallop on about real oak doors that i forgot to say please zero me on the chart for my fresh start.

Vix Take the B6-you know it’ll do you good. I really hope you feel better soon.
Sary don’t feel guilty (Im sorry I made you feel that way) it is a big transition-and if your H&O were acting out of sorts on the week end then it must be touching on the whole family a bit still. I think it was you who said recently (or maybe not), that you feel like everything is just too loud around PMT time-put some ear plugs in later and have a long soak in the tub.
KPC You put into words exactly what I’ve been trying to express to DF for weeks. We are in a recession right? I haven’t had a haircut (never mind a do) in about 6 months. I feel like all we do is save and yet we never have any savings-but then a number of my “friends” are going back to SA for holidays (DS’s father is coming here-despite the fact that he lost his job two weeks ago and hasn’t paid maintenance), remodelling houses-and I cant help wondering what Im doing wrong?
Granny-you make me laugh...I think you are an inspiration to most of us here with how hard you’ve worked to be able to do the things you do.
Well done on all the results today.
I didn’t have anything to eat today except a packet of maltesers and a hotpot something or other that DF slapped together. Had a doctors appointment today and Im NOT going back to that woman ever again. She wants me to go for a pelvic scan AND a CD21 blood test before she sends me to a gynae! She wants to confirm that I am ovulating before she utilises another resource! And if she didn’t do that, she would be being irresponsible! Oh, and she doesn’t think its a good idea anyway because I’m clearly still emotional over the m/c! Hello...I’m still angry about the way I was treated then...because she and all her colleagues were irresponsible-its a bit late to worry about that now...don’cha think?
I’m off for a nap now coz DS has been asleep since we got home from the doctors so I suspect I’m going to be up all night again.

Right nevermind the nap-DF has just informed me he'll be leaving me with DS after their shower as he wants to be in bed by 22H00:mad:
So I think I'll make a cup of coffee and watch home and away-and then do some more bead sorting later-DS can lie on the couch and watch playhouse disney until he falls asleep...I hate days like this.

Sorry to hear the Doctors are not being "helpful" polkadot. Sounds like the woman needs a good virtual slap

Don't get too disheartened any gainers - next week is another week.

    Hope you're OK beanie.

Yes, KPC - a pull out larder AND fitted recycling bins. But tonight - a cold tap, no sink, walls back to the concrete and floors back to planks.... I'll post a picture when I can get the concrete dust out of the camera. Probably spending most of the next week or so in the bedroom as it's the only room that isn't full of kitchen. (no scrabble though ;)- I am a granny!)

granny: good luck with that kitchen! i remember when mum had hers done and it was awful. Hope you had a nice weekend to balance it all out :)

Polka: vitimin b6 was taken, along with a very fattening meal and a chocolate bar to finish. I feel all the better for it though!

I have a very miserable boyfriend on my hands. That offer on the TV has gone, so he isnt happy at all :( obviously were not meant to have a holiday or a tv! i keep telling him that theyre will probably be more offers on the next bank holiday but he's not having it. Now i feel guilty, cos if i hadnt have mentioned the holiday the tv would be half way in our front room now :(

right im off, got work all day tomorrow. Boooooo.

bb: just remembered your reply. I understand that it can be for those reasons too, and alot of the time it is, but at the same time i think people get lazy and the society we live in makes it easier to get fat because of the advancements we have made to cut out time and effort in everything.

    now im off :p
