Just want to say that I'm thinking about you today, and hope that you can begin to feel a little more settled.

As others have said, you set your own pace, and don't you worry about anyone else but yourself. (If you take care of yourself, your boys will be fine).

There are some really, really decent men out there, I promise you.

hi,
while i think its wonderful that taye is getting lots of support on here. i do think some of the info in her posts may be a bit too personal, especially when mentioning she knew a !!!!!philes etc.
as its such a public forum/thread with a massive following, nearly 36,000. i really do think she should err on the side of caution coz she may be recognised.....or her situation may sound too familiar to somebody...
just trying to be helpful.

On the basis that we don't know how to contact Taye other than thro this site & we don't know how often she is viewing this thread, I think it would be acceptable to report the detailed posts and request that they be deleted 'just in case'. I am sure that Taye and the other thread followers would fully understand the reasons for doing so.

Do you want to put the request in, or shall I? (You seem to have more experience with what you don't think should be here?)

Tbh very very few people in my personal life know my situation, not even my mother i doubt anyone would put 2 and 2 together. Perhaps the only real risk would be from Dave if he found the thread.

thats good then hun. i was only trying to think of you and make sure coz you have totally opened your heart on here to literally thousands of strangers and just wanted to point that out to you.

i just felt all the details about knowing a child offender was maybe a bit too personal, and was worried in case anyone put two and two together.
coz this thread is getting very popular, over a thousand views since yesterday......
and to be honest i just felt a little bit of concern for taye.. who knows whose out there in cyberland........

Nar im generally quite secretive my end, i havn't even mentioned to anyone that im "seeing someone".

My only concern i guess is that Dave may somehow stumble on this, he and possibly his friends are the only ones likely to put 2-2 together and even then i'd be more concerned about what he'd think about publishing out relationship

Taye, none of us can walk in your shoes. Neither can Dave.
Your radar is super sensitive, and rightly so. That doesn't mean what it tells you is false. Go with what feels easy with you, you have the right to set the pace, not to be pressured, to control how you and your boys live your life.
We all know what's in our own hearts, we can have no way of knowing what's in the heart of another although we can catch a glimpse. Think about the glimpses you've had with Dave and ask yourself if they match up with your beliefs, values, expectations.

Best wishes, and if you want to delete any of your posts on this or any other MSE thread it's easily done and other people could delete theirs if you would like them to. If you feel the whole thread should not be left on the Forum, ask for it to be delted.

tbh maybe i'm neive but im not really sure what people could possibly do with the information? it's not like i gave people the pin number to my credit card or the location of my spare front door key??

Everyone who is important from a legal/medical and welfair point of veiw already knows the situation so there is nothing to "report me for".

Anyone else who would judge me on something i can't possibly have known about before the issue probabally isn't the sort of person i want/need to be in contact with anyway.

Anyway FWIW I think you should never share this with Dave, as I think he would be mortified to know his romance has been so widely voyered!

But of course it has been a great source for you and there is no reason for you to stop seeking views/help until you want to call a halt.
