Hello Staurt (BT rep)
I asked my landlord about the telephone socket in my house. He said there is only one socket on downstairs. Anyway , my new number has activated and I have no choices to avoid paying 122 pounds for a second socket (my painful experience). How can I contact an engineer to install a second socket?
Sorry I coudn't PM because your mailbox is full0 -
Hi, to anyone reading this still.
I recently moved (a month ago) although there are BT connections in my flat, BT wanted to charge me £122 to connect me. After saying Id think about it I called the BT Sales dept and asked them about the free connection deal and they said yes it was still available...so I signed up for it I have had the basic option 1 (cheapest option) for my calls and broadband so as not to have to pay anymore than I have to as its the internet I was more concerned about getting rather than phone calls. I was connected 2 weeks ago so unless it been stopped all together I would advise anyone to ask if this deal is still available. Good Luck!0 -
Welcome to the MSE forums whomy5.
Don't forget the 10 calls you have to make per month (make 01, 02 or 03 calls of less than an hour at the weekend and they'll cost you nothing).Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -

The requirement is for chargeable, not charged, calls. You're ok as you are.0 -
Hi curley1959, To qualify for this offer, please make 10 chargeable or inclusive calls calls per month. Inclusive calls are free calls that are included in your calling plan. Please PM your BT account details and I will check that all is ok!“Official Company Representative
