The Perfume Emporium have stolen my money

Thanks to leicesterman2010 for describing this scam so neatly. I have seen a site with complaints about Collings dating back to 2007! I don't understand why this site has not been closed down. I eventually received a refund but if more of us had taken the attitude of 'warehouse' (see page 7 of thread) then perhaps this would not be happening now. I don't mean by criticising other posts but by a more robust attitude and zero tolerance to this scam instead of being patient and listening to Collings' 'stories'. How many more people have to endure the hassle and worry involved before Notts Trading Standards and Notts police do something?0

I have been pursuing SagePay over the PE and have received this morning the following from Anthony Armstrong at support@sagepay.com
Dear Mike CryerThank you for your e-mail,If everyone on this forum could contact SagePay with their details then they might take this a bit more seriously and withdraw their services from PE
We take all complaints seriously and we have documented this complaint against the account, if we receive high levels of complaints we can take action to stop the company's from trading through Sage Pay.0 -
Yes thanks to Leicesterman - that must be what he is up to. I'd never thought through the numbers. From his point of view it multiplies out quite nicely.
I assume that he must have some stock though & presumably fake books etc to look like a business, if only to satisfy trading standards &/or the police when they visit. It does seem odd that he can continue to get away with it - it needs a concerted effort - although most people will lose interest once they have their refund. It needs a virus to crash his site.0 -
We too have fallen for this scam, usual promises, refunds within the law etc, but there is a newspaper in Nottingham called This is Nottingham.
Surprisingly he has had only one other complaint about Perfume Emporium, but if he gets enough he will write an article about him.
Details are John Robinson, 0115-964-4065.
Its another way to get at this con artist, we would urge all complainants to get in touch with John!0 -
Hi all
I think I'm the latest victim of this con artist! I ordered my perfume on 3rd August, to be told it was dispatched immediately! Low and behold, the item never arrived and he emailed to say he would refund within the 30 days distance selling regs.
The 30 days period is coming up on Friday and I've asked for notification of when the refund will be processed but not yet received a response.
Can you please advise what I should do next?? I paid £41.95 for nothing
Thanks in advance0 -
If I were you, I would ignore everything Collings says - it's the same excuses and put-offs he sends to everyone else.
Contact Nottinghamshire police by email and ask them to put you in touch with the person who is dealing with this web site scam.
Best of luck,0 -
Oh i wish i had checked here before:mad:. I too am a scammed customer. I have done what leagle eagle says and he has til the 10th October to refund even though he says he has! I ave also contacted my bank as I used Verfied by Visa so hopefully will get the money back eventually. But have recieved no emails from him since i sent it 2 days ago.
I also contacted Host gator who say them no longer host but I have found out that:
BlueConnex are now hosting so this is there email address:
abuse@euroconnex.net
I have copied them in on a link to this thread and to can you trust thems thread.0 -
When i order on line i always check to see if there have been any reviews on a company first, that way, you don't fall into the same trap as all these poor people waiting for their money back.0

do what i did. Go to UK. GOV website Money Claim online and get a court summons issued against this company. £ 25 to claim and i got a cheque within two weeks which covered my purchase price and court costs ( and it cleared ). see other forum thread.
good luck0 -
I did that as well, but according to my bank this morning, 'Whilst the funds initially showed on your account, they have been withdrawn'
So the scumbag has now cost me £25 quid more. I think I'm ready to give up now, I can't beat him.0
