Ive just checked my profile on his site, and it says he has now changed my order status to refunded.
However my bank has nothing paid in, and nothing pending either.
Ive just e-mailed him to say ive reported him to Consumer Direct, and Watchdog.
I wait with baited breath.0 -
I too was scammed by this person. Best thing to do is to e mail
I received a refund soon after that. He is the police officer who is supposed to be monitoring the website after it was investigated by 'watchdog'. How anyone can say this is 'not illegal' I don't know! This has been going on for years!
Good luck.0 -
Well I followed Legaleagle84's advice in post 332 and Chris says he's sent out a cheque. Now to wait for it to arrive...
This'll be a major result if I get it!0 -
To Nigel Brown, Nottingham Police
Nobody gets any resolution from support@theperfumeemporium.co.uk, which is why they are copying to you. Why cannot the police do something about this person?
To everyone else - I suggest you send as much as possible to Nigel Brown and then maybe he will get so fed up the police may actually do something0 -
2nd follow up.
I have also been caught out to the tune of £131.80. I have followed Legaleagle84's advice and am instigating online court proceedings and would suggest everyone do the same. It is very easy. I have also written to the Nottingham Trading Standards and emailed Nigel Brown at Nottingham Police. The following is also a new site for reporting fraud which I am about to post:
[Google action fraud] (not allowed to post URLs)
I implore everyone who has been had by The PE, to use all these avenues to put pressure on the authorities to get this site shut and Chris Collings prosecuted. If everyone made an effort something might get done.0 -
@nbrown
Instead of just repeating your post, could you explain why this isn't a Police matter? There are 18 pages of posts here on this site alone, all from people who have paid for goods & received nothing in return. We are all obviously in touch with TPE & those who get refunds are being forced to wait months on spurious grounds.
"the system" seems unable to deal with TPE - it would be nice to understand why & to have the Police's point of view.0 -
Low and behold I had an e-mail today from Chris saying he has sent me a cheque today! I just want that money in my bank. Officer Brown,,,,,,,,, Please can you not do something for everyone. It was only thanks to you that things have suddenly moved!
You mentioned that it was not a scam, and more a "badly run business" The trouble is, all these people are all in the same boat! We have all given innocently and no one has received anything! Surely this business can't be that apalling!?!?!
More investigation must be made, and more support must be given to the public. So called support (Chris) does absolutely nothing what so ever to help people, and just makes matters worse by making innocent people wait.
I contacted Watchdog, and I have not heard anything!
Surely there must be something that can be done to stop innocent people from such misery and heartache!?!?!0 -

Maybe nbrown isn't really nbrown but someone (maybe even Chris) just trying to stop disgruntled customers from contacting the police? I am just amazed that TS haven't done more as so many people seem to be out of pocket.0 -
PC Brown is a real person and I spoke with him last night, His recent posting was in fact put up by someone else and my request to bombard him was probably not useful so I retract that. PC Brown is in contact with Trading Standards over Chris Collings and actively pursuing this. Lets hope there can be some resolution to stop this business trading.0

I have been pursuing SagePay over the PE and have received this morning the following from Anthony Armstrong at support@sagepay.com
Dear Mike Cryer
Thank you for your e-mail,
We take all complaints seriously and we have documented this complaint against the account, if we receive high levels of complaints we can take action to stop the company's from trading through Sage Pay.
If everyone on this forum could contact SagePay with their details then they might take this a bit more seriously and withdraw their services from PE0
