oh i see, thanks, i did wonder if it was 1 word that would make the difference
  • this is bizarre to read as it happened to me to with very much the same email response from 'chris' first blaming royal mail then having to wait 15 days then being offered refund but never getting it. luckily i paid on credit card and they have refunded me and they will then chase their refund from the perfume emp.
i bought my perfume in apr 2010 and didnt get my refund till oct 2010 and this was from my credit card company.
how can we stop this happening????
  • Give them a bloody chance

Nothing they have said is unreasonable and it takes time to process a refund.

this company have been ripping people off since 2008-shes every right to be worried. the same emails are sent to every one who buys from them. 'oh royal mail must have lost the product you will now have to wait' whatever -they are stealing peoples money
  • Remarkably I've just had a refund from Lloyds TSB. I raised it as a disputed payment on my Visa card. Strictly speaking I've been credited while they investigate via TPE's bank. Not how I thought it would work to be honest & I may be "re-debited" but only if TPE refunds (zero chance).

Presumably we are all paying for this though through bank charges.

Keep a good look out for TPE's next reincarnation - I'm certain he won't be gone for long.

me too, luckily i paid on credit card to and they have refunded me but have said they will look into it and i could be recharged-cant believe they have been ripping people off for so long

    I can't believe I didn't see this thread!

I've ordered twice from theperfumeemporium.CO.UK once last year and once again this year-- as recent as JULY. On both occasions the goods never arrived and after contacting Chris, he blamed Royal Mail and, upon waiting 15 days or thereabouts, he sent out a replacement. On each occasion, I received a replacement! I suspected he did it on purpose on the chance customers like me wouldn't follow up and he'd keep the money because, in my ten or so years of ordering goods online, only once has an item gone missing (the Royal Mail are very good around here), therefore an item going missing twice from the same retailer is VERY suspect indeed!

Looking at this thread, I got away lucky. Phew. Sorry to hear about the rest of you guys and it's good to see he's no longer operating.
  • I wonder if it has any connection with Supaperfume? The same thing has happened there.
