Re the above link, I wouldn't trust ANYTHING that was remotely connected to Chris Collings or his website. I'm sure he will quickly - maybe even has already - set up another web site with another scam.0

@ Ian B
"customers are still without goods..." (words fail me)
Did he ever send anything I wonder? Personally I don't think he did for a least the last year - but was it a scam right from the start? Bit academic now I guess.
2 things I've learnt from this;
- don't trust a site without a contact number
- check where a site gets it's testimonials from - TPE's must have been home made as there was no visible way of leaving feedback0 -
hi,just read all about chris the perfume emporium,I ordered in august no perfume and £50.00 worse off same emails as you all, have contacted by email notts police and trading standards, also local paper, didnt think of watchdog, but thats next on the list0

Got conned along with many others no doubt by THE PERFUME EMPORIUM AND CHRIS COLLING. I have informed Trading Standards in Nottingham and sent Mr Colling a request to return my money. If I do not get my money then I will contact the Nottingham Police. If every one who has not received the goods they paid for did likewise maybe something could be done to stop this con man from trading again.0

Further to my previous post, I've now got my £37.90 back thanks to my bank (Halifax) so do persist people.0

I have also had £36 taken from me and no goods delivered. The problem I have was that by the time my perfume had not turned up the website had also gone 'under maintance' and therefore i have no emails between me and Chris as all my emails bounced back. Will I still be able to claim back my money through my bank?0

Use the 'chargeback' facility via your card company. I got my money back immediately.0

Regarding the message on Chris Collings web-site about him declaring himself bankrupt. I have checked with the Insolvency Service and they have no such submission from him. So, as usual, this is a smokescreen most likely designed to put people off claiming. However, at least the web-site is not functioning anymore.
I have a court order against him which I am about to request judgement on, so there may well be further developments and I will keep people posted.
But if there is anyone else in the same situation as me, then keep up the pressure.

well done Mike Cryer! and Good Luck.
Is there no end to the deviousness of this Collings person? It sounds just like one of his tricks so that people won't make any claims from him.
As you say, at least the website isn't functioning.0 -
Chris here from The Perfume Emporium.
To declare myself bankrupt, I need to submit to the court £600. I cannot declare bankruptcy without paying this fee! Being bankrupt means you have no money so finding the £600 is hard!
As I state on my website, anybody still awaiting a refund should be able to reclaim this back from your card issuer by raising a chargeback. I suggest you do this before the bankruptcy is filed.
Any CCJ's sent to me will be added to the bankrupcy petition.
This is a once only message and Ii WILL NOT respond to any replies!
