Chris here from The Perfume Emporium.

To declare myself bankrupt, I need to submit to the court £600. I cannot declare bankruptcy without paying this fee! Being bankrupt means you have no money so finding the £600 is hard!

As I state on my website, anybody still awaiting a refund should be able to reclaim this back from your card issuer by raising a chargeback. I suggest you do this before the bankruptcy is filed.

Any CCJ's sent to me will be added to the bankrupcy petition.

This is a once only message and Ii WILL NOT respond to any replies!

    Chris

If you are really Chris then you've got a damned cheek coming onto this board with your little sob stories. Perhaps you should have come on sooner and told people not to order from you so they didn't lose their cash. Maybe you could get your £600 bankrupcy fee by claiming for all those lost parcels from Royal Mail - with the amount you claimed to have lost I think the compensation would more than fund this fee.

But then again Chris, you've told so many porkies in the past no one will know whether to believe you or not on this bankrupcy tale. Whatever the true story is, I hope all your past misdemeanors come back to boldly bite you on your poor little posterior.
  • I have been duped by this company and now cannot get a reply. Mail keeps coming back. Can anyone tell me how i can complain?
  • I also have not recieved perfume i ordered for a92 year old neighbour fro perfume emporium lower thn low:mad:
  • What an absolute crook!!1 year on and still no refund I cant even begin to explain how angry I am, people like YOU Chris should not get away with being able to steel peoples money and then when you've finished suddenly declare yourself bankrupt. I really wish i'd done my research before handing my money over a valuable lesson learnt:(

I know this thief has said he will not respond to replies, but I just wanted to have my 2 pence worth.

I've not ordered anything from this person as thankfully I found this thread first, so to everyone on here, Thank You.

I find it completely disgusting that he is advising that people should make a chargeback application to their card companies, and saying it as though he is absolved of all responsibility.

Obviously this is the best course of action for people, but who actually pays for this in the long run..... Thats right, you and me and everybody else. After all, if Chris cannot pay people the money back they sent in good faith, then how is Chris going to pay the bank back for the chargebacks.......... answer....he isn't is he. It will be added to the Bankrupcy petition and the bank will get 10/20p in the pound if they are lucky.

Unfortunately our laws allow this scam artist to get away with this.

I simply hope this persons next business venture is quicky seized upon by those people he had defrauded and is closed down forcefully asap.

Regarding the message on Chris Collings web-site about him declaring himself bankrupt. I have checked with the Insolvency Service and they have no such submission from him. So, as usual, this is a smokescreen most likely designed to put people off claiming. However, at least the web-site is not functioning anymore.

I have a court order against him which I am about to request judgement on, so there may well be further developments and I will keep people posted.

But if there is anyone else in the same situation as me, then keep up the pressure.

what address did you use for him on the judgement? I am about to enter one and as the Clifton one is very obviously a fake I wasn't sure what to put..

I did use the Clifton one, and it worked in that he sent me a cheque, shortly before withdrawing the funds to cover it. The CCJ I've had made against him is at that address.

thought everyone would like to have a read of this article, can't believe the police and trading standards have met with him more than once and he was allowed to carry on for so long..

  • Remarkably I've just had a refund from Lloyds TSB. I raised it as a disputed payment on my Visa card. Strictly speaking I've been credited while they investigate via TPE's bank. Not how I thought it would work to be honest & I may be "re-debited" but only if TPE refunds (zero chance).

Presumably we are all paying for this though through bank charges.

Keep a good look out for TPE's next reincarnation - I'm certain he won't be gone for long.
