The Perfume Emporium have stolen my money

Am I one of the only ones that have actually received their goods from the Perfume Enporium??:j0

I'm a newbie to the forum, but probably one of many still waiting for money back from The Perfume Emporium.
"Chris" is supposed to have sent the perfume twice to me, which was originally intended to be a Christmas present! Of course, Chris blamed the Royal Mail. My 30 days have passed - I have sent another email asking where my money is - will take it further if I need to.0 -
Even though we have not hosted this website for months, we are still receiving a lot of complaints about them. Please note that the new host (for several months) is:
www.hostgator.com
You can contact them at: support@hostgator.com
It appears they are happy to host this site, as the number of complaints we have directed towards them, and they still host the website. The Head Honcho (does very little work)0 -
I have had the experience recently of ordering goods and not recieving them. I contacted Chris on his online chat facility and asked him why there were so many complaints about his company ? His reply was that they were not fraudulent and that Royal Mail were to blame. As a person who uses Royal Mail a lot I found it hard to believe that the ratio of lost parcels should be much higher for the Perfume Emporium than any other company.
The reason this company are still in business may be because they only target people like myself who have paid for goods with a debit/switch card and don't have the same recourse to cancel as with a credit card.
I have also been asked to wait 30 days for a refund. If I should not recieve this (through all the formal channels), I am quite prepared to submit this to my media employers and local Nottingham Media with evidenced copy about this guys activities as a matter of public interest . That, would hit right where it hurts!

If you do not get your money back after 30 days. Write to your bank to make an official claim for money lost. They will probably tell you that they are unable to help in the case of a debit card but you have to go through this stage anyway before contacting the Financial Ombudsman who will then formerly ask "Chris" for your money back.

I run a online perfume shop and the amount of lost parcels sent by Royal Mail is around 0.5%, which is quite low. The site gets a low amount of daily orders from what i can gather, so i think Chris is holding onto peoples money to try and keep the company going to be honest.0

I'm another 'victim' - still waiting for a refund after first asking on the 18th March. I can see I have a way to go before beating the record of some people here for getting a refund! ;-)
I complained to hostgator and got nowhere. So I've just reported PE to ripofftipoff.net. Even if it's not a deliberate scam, as some people do get their perfumes, it's a complete farce as far as running a business goes. The sooner Chris stops trading, the better, IMO.0 -

I think you could be right! I got the usual 'distance selling 30 days' excuse three times, so I reminded Chris that my 30 days is up this Friday. I just got this reply:
'Please bear with us as we are in financial difficulty.'
Has anyone else had that one? I suspect it's actually (for once) an honest response. It doesn't help me at all, of course. In fact it's rather worrying, because if Chris is actually admitting there's a problem, it must be bad. So how long before he's simply declared bankrupt, meaning that anyone still owed refunds is out of luck?0 -
Hi all,
Unfortunately, I think I have been scammed too by this company. I have, however, reported them to trading standards, and just wanted other people to know this. Perhaps, if we all did this together we might be able to get our money back, or get them shut down0
