  • I have had the experience recently of ordering goods and not recieving them. I contacted Chris on his online chat facility and asked him why there were so many complaints about his company ? His reply was that they were not fraudulent and that Royal Mail were to blame. As a person who uses Royal Mail a lot I found it hard to believe that the ratio of lost parcels should be much higher for the Perfume Emporium than any other company.

The reason this company are still in business may be because they only target people like myself who have paid for goods with a debit/switch card and don't have the same recourse to cancel as with a credit card.

I have also been asked to wait 30 days for a refund. If I should not recieve this (through all the formal channels), I am quite prepared to submit this to my media employers and local Nottingham Media with evidenced copy about this guys activities as a matter of public interest . That, would hit right where it hurts!

    Journo!

Please do!!! Its about time that we got our own back!!!!

Start a Twitter campaign if you can - you never know it could make national news then and not local!
  • It looks as if I too have fallen fowl of Chris! I placed an order fo £90 worth of perfume which was supposedly dispatched last Tuesday 27th April. Not surprisingly there has been no sign of it. When I keyed the tracking number into the Royal Mail it said the parcel couln't be tracked as it hadn't been delivered.

I have contacted Chris with a very to the point message. Not had a reply yet, but will keep you posted.

If I do not receive a successful outcome I am going to bad mouth them all over Facebook!!!

Go for it re local press and Twitter. People like this should be stopped.

Me also, placed an order 7th March for over £50. Royal mail apparently lost it twice.
Awaiting refund. They were featured on Watchdog last year, if you go onto the site you can see a video . Nottingham trading standards were involved at the time and are apparently monitoring the company. I have just emailed Watchdog to say the scam continues, think would be a good idea if others emailed also. This guy has to be stopped.

I have been thinking about this, since we all seem to have had the same sort of response saying that Royal Mail have lost the parcel (or words to that effect) I wonder if Royal Mail would be interested to hear about this, it is not a good advertisment for them is it?

Has anyone asked for a tracking number so that they could check with Royal Mail themselves?

i think the person who said "give them a bloody chance" should maybe order something from this so called company as i did back in feb and am now going to start court proceedings to recover my money. the pattern of emails is pretty much identical.
go on i dare you to order!!!!

yes i asked for a tracking number and was told that one was not available, i think you are at the start of chain of lies and rubbish sent out by this guy chris collins.

  • i ordered £25 of perfume from this site on 17 July 2009, and had the same string of messages and emails and losses and dates nonsense from Chris for the months between then and now, like you all have. In october i had a long letter explaining why my refund had not been provided after the 30 days - he also said a separate cheque of £5 would be sent to cover the "sheer inconvenience" of the whole mess. he then told me that my cheque would take 122 days to be sent out! then there were more delays and i was told on 24 march it would be another 20 days! then on 20th april i received an email saying my cheque had been posted. you can imagine my surprise when two days later i did receive a cheque, and i banked it and the money is now in my account! So i really do not know what his game is.. all i know is that every two weeks or so i sent him an email just to remind him i was here... and that i was not done yet. the perfume emporium site should really be shut down as the whole experience has just been rubbish.

would you be willing to post the long letter on this site( minus personal details of course) so we can all see what the reply was?
