The Perfume Emporium have stolen my money

Hi
It seems i too have been duped by the clever perfume boy who calls himself Chris. I paid £50 for some perfume on 27/10/09 and as yet still have not recieved the goods. I have had all the E-mails previously mentioned in this forum. I am now expecting the "30 day refund" next. I already hate this parasite so i am ready for a long battle. Anyone got any suggestions about my next move? "No violence please" Lol0 -
The order I made on 11th October - then cancelled on 29th October (having queried where it was and getting the Royal-Mail-blame response that I then discovered is all too familiar on this thread) ... finally arrived today! 38 days - is this a record?! Chris Collings didn't even directly acknowledge my cancellation - so good luck to anyone attempting to cancel!
What if I'd already got the product elsewhere? It's just 'lucky' that the perfume I wanted is seemingly unavailable elsewhere in the UK. When I found it on the PerfumeEmporium site I was so excited I dropped my guard with regards to dealing with a previously-unused online merchant. Never again! If I want to buy Tatiana again I'll arrange with USA friends to bring me a bottle.
Seriously - best of luck to anyone trying to get their product or trying to retrieve their hard-earned cash. It's ironic this guy (or woman?) is in the perfume selling business (to a degree) ... because s/he stinks!0 -
Like meny of you on here i fallen into this trap, wish i had seen this before ording
At present i ordered 28/10 all in good time for Christmas, goods still not arrived !!, did chase e-mail to be advise i must wait the 15 days before claim can be logged with Royal Mail, he did give me traking number.
Can i cancel order now or do i have to wait the 30 days from ordering before taking this further?
Well on the 16/11 i cancelled my order got a reply from Chris very sorry blah blah blah, make sure i refuse any delivery as if that's going to happen!!!, expect refund in next 3-5 working days, so waiting game now on as yet no refund has appeared in my bank account, will update next week.
Perfume i order was Caleche by Hermes it is very hard to find at a resonable price hence why i ordered from this conman, But i found it on EBAY Perfume Passion , ordered and delivered all within 3 days by Royal Mail .....strange no delays and fully tracked singed for :T0 -
I bought some perfume for my wifes birthday back at the end of June 09, All the same issues as everyone else, money paid, no goods with the excuse of Royal Mail. I was promissed a redelivery which never turned up. The promise of a full refund came and went on two occations. I finally took advice from Directgov who told me to write a polite letter giving Chris 30 days to pay or the next contact would be through the small claims court. As usual this had no effect. After the 30 days I contacted my local trading standards office who put me in contact with my local small claims court. It will cost you 30 pounds to take it through the small claims court, but it was the principal of the matter. While i was waiting for the documentation i contacted Chris to inform him of my intention and warned him that the costs would be awarded against The Perfume Emporium. I gave him 7 days to respond. Good news, within the 7 days (at the beginning of November) i got a full refund by cheque with an additional 5 pounds as an apology and did not have to pay the 30 pounds to the small claims courts to lodge the documentation.
It took me over 4 months but its worth it. A word of advice though, make sure all your correspondance is sent recorded delivery.
Good luck and don't forget, its the principal of the matter that is as important as the money, we cannot let people get away with these things.0 -

I wish I had read all of this before placing my order on 16/11/09. Have been waiting in anticipation since they informed me via e-mail on 19/11/09 that the perfume ordered for my Mum had been dispatched.
At 23:16pm I sent them an e-mail as follows:
Unfortunately I have not received the perfume that was dispatched on Thursday 19th November 2009; see details below. I do not wish to wait for another to be sent as the occasion for which this gift was required has now passed. As such, please would you kindly cancel my order with immediate effect and refund the total sum of £28.95 accordingly. Thanking you in advance for your kind assistance; I look forward to hearing from you. Regards, and my apologies for any inconvenience.
I immediately received this reply:

RECIEVED FULL REFUND 1/12/09!! He only kept my money for a month. I think thats quite a good result compared with some other unfortunate people who have posted on here! Beware of the Chris the Perfume boy!!!0 -
Hey all, stumbled accross this...is anyone still having problems? Might be worth bringing this guy to the general public's attention,
Thanks

Yes I dread to think how many people may have purchased perfume for christmas presents and will be let down by this guy, especially when there are lots of other very reliable companies out there that do deliver within a few days.0
