Hey SH,
It's amazing what a week away did for me. This place is great but I have to realise that so is my life outside of it too :rotfl:0 -
Sometimes I think a DMP is unmotivating, like we have said, you cant really over pay until you have enough for a F&F so it just has to do it's own thing, it must be nice to be able to see big chunks coming off a credit card or similar!
Hope you have a good day today, I will pop back soon
You're so right - I sometimes wonder what exactly Payplan would do if I decided to pay off the smaller debts on my dmp....part of me thinks I would be better going it alone and taking it over myself.....maybe then i'd have better options. There is a going it alone thread somewhere on this site. I must catch up and see how people are doing. At the end of the day, what real difference does it make if I do it or Payplan - the info is the same.
Hey ho, money is soooooooooo stressing whether you have it or not!0 -

Hello guys,
Hope everyone is well and having a good week.
Just thought i'd pop a quick post before I leave for the office. Have a lovely 2-3 hours commute up to London....joy! It's kind of annoying have to travel 5/6hrs today for an hours meeting - what's the point as I could just read the minutes after and gain the same info.
Oh well, best get on. Nothing exciting my end - apart from feeling poorly still and tired.
Have a good day all,
K x0 -
HI Karen, sorry to hear you are feeling poorly and tired, the commute is the last thing you need when you feel like that!
I agree about payplan, most of my debts were passed to DCA's and to avoid the hassle I will stay with PP for time being, am wondering how possible it is for me to pay them off within a year depending on what % the DCA's would take. I will definately be trying to negeotiate that myself when the time come though!
I hope the travelling and meeting aren't too much for you,
take care

Morning
Thank you all for your get well wishes.
Hope everyone is well this Friday....and can I just say woo hoo it's Friday :j
Feeling much better today, got home about 8pm last night had a cuppa, a couple of herbal nytol and straight off to bed. Feel so much better for it this morning, although throat is still sore.
Well it's pay day today for me so I need to sit down this weekend and work out some budgets/plan of action. Is it so sad that I thrive on doing such things?????
Well didn't meet the overtime of 31 hours but in my defence our systems team have taken the system down quite a lot of late so the usual hasn't been available  But, I am SO SO SO happy that I managed 31 hours as this is the most I have ever done. Start afresh next week and will aim to beat my 31 hours for my July pay day.
mrscmr - Sounds like you have been busy. You are lucky with your commute. To be honest the train itself for me is just a little over 1 hour. The 2-3 hour commute is door to door for me as have to walk to train station, get train, then two tubes and a bus and then a little walk again to get to my office door.....the fun eh and I used to get up at 5am every day and do that. How I ask myself??? On a good day it can be 2 and half hours which isn't too bad.
jtr2803 - i'm sure with that nice big cheque and boost to your savings you'll be offering some full and finals pretty soon. You're doing fab!!
Anyhow, best get on as work is busier than ever! Have a good day all.

Hi Karen - you did almost a week extra this month in overtime - you have to be really proud of yourself for that! Good luck with working out your figures.... Bye for nowAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
