Dont know the specifics, all i knoe he went into investment banking after switching course.s... and the point stands got paid alot more than an engineering graduate.
Whereas engineers innovate and push forward new technology, nvestment bankers tried to make money from money.. adding not alot to soceity and in this late case alot of the banking industry is responsible for this financial mess we are in now.0 -

They left a very good job, were in earlier than the British, did not complain and were very keen. Their work was price work with the more they done, the more they earned. No complaints with them at all.
My last employer had a series of Eastern European early morning cleaning staff. Despite the business being located in Bradford, an area of high unemployment, the white British just did not bother applying for the job. I strongly suspect my boss would have preferred to employ someone whose English was their first language.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
So how many do you know? or is your opinion based on what you have read?
By the way i am not a member, before anyone gets the wrong idea, but do sympathise with anybody who does support, or vote for them, and can also understand why anybody would.
Bumped into one or two over the years  more influentially I visited Auschwitz a couple of years ago, a chilling experience and the end product of extreme nationalist politics. Oh yes and read a bit too and watched a few films
Actually attended a NF rally once (by accident I may add), it was on rememberence Sunday and we were passing so decided to stop and listen, shouldn't laugh :rotfl:
The irony of the one day celebrating the defeat of the Nazis, I think it was lost on them.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. its pretty simple to persuade any company to follow any course of action imo
stop buying their products.
in an age where the value of protest is seen as neglible and we often feel (and, implicitly, told) we are powerless all it takes is not to buy, not to spend. our role is to consume products. this is the strike that still worksPrefer girls to money0 -
I am the HR manager for a medium sized firm, we have employed some immigrants over the years, several working for us currently. They go through exactly the same recruitment as anyone else, they get the same training, pay and opportunities. Generally they have been excellent workers, one or two not so great. We recruit the best candidates, we don't consider nationality other than to make the relevant checks to ensure they are working here legally.Sell £1500

Playing devils advocate..
You mean you recruit the experienced skilled foreign labour whilst turning away the 'green' graduate?

We train our staff as we work in a very unique way, we do employ many graduates but also school leavers, moms returning to work, older people having a change of career. We are looking for the best candidate, qualifications/experience aren't the deciding factor for our work.
Just to add we also employ students on part time/vacation contracts. Many will stay on with us after graduation.Sell £1500

I will never underestimate the ability of people to prevent any sort of debate on immigration, simply by mentioning the word "racist", i had read nothing racist in any of the above posts.Thankyou Sir Alex for 26 years0 -
This is a very thorny issue. Unchecked immigration (especially the economic kind) has put untold strains on British society with many empluers simply going for the cheapest option in employing cheap immigrants rather than British workers,
This has led to many British people losing their jobs and has caused huge social unrest in places like Oldham, Burnley, Manchester etc.
How can we dis-incentivise employers from taking the cheap and easy option of foreign workers?
I'll say to you what I say to any other bigot imbecile out there: you personally make sure that every single briton from abroad comes home. All the 6 million of them, from Spain, Italy, France, USA, Australia, New Zeeland etc Once we counted them and they are all here, I will personally make sure every single foreign citizen from UK goes back to his home. And that includes Madonna (USA), all the foreign football players (yes they are foreign workers too), all the American investors in the City, all the Japanese magnates, all the rich residents in London etc etc etc Deal? No, I didn't think so. What you want is limitation on one side without reciprocation: poor people in searc of a better life should be kept at the gate, on the other hand rich people should be allowed in. Also britons should be allowed to enter freely any other country, for work or tourism. Only the uneducated ignorant descendant of an Empire who abused other nations could think like that.0
