These threads...they could actually be a really bad PR thing for Martin tho'.
Someone hears about this busy forum he has...checks it out, comes here by chance and ends up reading a Dervish special.

Most of us have got fed up trying to balance these types of threads...I'd rather curl up with a Heat Magazine...more chewy.....so, it's left to Miss Kool to do it.

Cleaver may have the energy later to join in..but it's Easter holiday time.....

It's confusing tho'

I just found out how to view the Avatars...it's a tick box in User CP. So I made one for me too....you may be able to see them if you click the box in user CP.

I had to switch off avatars....the flashy ones make me see stars...is ad's avatar still flashy or is it safe to turn on again?

Ad8808 or something? No it is static...celtic cross or something similar..try them for a minute or 2......I had no idea that Sabre Tooth Tiger was a Boris Johnson (Mayor) Fan.


Also, I have noticed, the way to get a thread Locked is for the Sock Puppet brigade to invade it......or to divert the topic onto something a little latenight in subject. Could be the way to go when Dervish post a thread like this?
It wou;d be a handy free PR service to Martin.

I have learnt a lot about PR during the past 2 weeks.;) Image and all that trivial, superficial stuff....that, for some reason, makes the world go round.

Not a Celtic Cross.........I am not educated enough to ID it....but I have a faint idea. I a can't link it as I am a new user.....;)

You've noticed? And here I thought I was being sublte in my O/T divertions from the unpleasant. Yep, nothing so subtle as talking about swinging, cakes, or poultry where inappropriate. :rotfl:

Can you answer one question, what will happen when all the immigrant workers reach retirement age, who will support them? or do we simply allow the population to rise again to help pay for an increasing number of OAPs?

Oh, I cannot see avatars. Guess it's the same graphics problem I had for PN's website. Will check it all out at work on Tuesday - but don't want to be thinking about Tuesday now!

Have you clicked the obscure box in User CP? I am sure they will show up then. It's Edit Options then scroll down to Thread display options. It is defaulted not to show them....so click it...and they appear. It's fascinating seeing them.....well....YKWIM...Interesting for a second or 2.
