so no one thinks its good, itwas for my daughter for her birthday she will be 12 and i dont no what guitar to by her

My 5 year old is getting a 3/4 one for xmas and by the time he is 12 (if he's still playing) the full size one will be well in his range.
I took him in a music shop and asked them to measure him up ..... then bought a 2nd hand stagg (branded) from ebay.

If she's 12 then why not go for the full size ebuyer KCC one cos it comes with all the bits. While KCC is not a huge brand take a look at this for a statement about their ability to bang out the odd guitar. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=1707241#post1707241
These are not play guitars and are not made in a toy factory.
• You might want to check out the Yamaha EZ-AG electric guitars from Costprice4u. These retail at over £180, but CostPrice4u are running a sale at £106.90 + delivery. Pretty good deals. CostPrice4u also have an ebay shop. See this Http://stores.ebay.co.uk/CostPrice4u/

I bought one of these guitars from them and they are pretty good and at a steep bargain.

No not for a twelve year old, she'll be embarrassed to play it in a years time. I agree with the comment above about the KCC guitars from ebuyer. I bought one a few months ago and its an excellent beginners guitar, and most importantly from this beginners point of view it looks, feels and sounds like a proper guitar. Highly recommend it for the lowly sum of £49.99.

I can also recommend this DVD Fender Presents: Getting Started On Electric Guitar, its not particularly cheap but it is very good (you can get it cheaper than in that link, thats just for reference)

I also bought this electronic guitar tuner from ebuyer at the same time as I bought the guitar, very useful: http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/106344

Just had a look around and it seems my link wasn't too bad after all - £13.99 all in from Amazon Jersey is the second cheapest online retailer I found after a quick hunt around (only found one other 10p cheaper) :)

I did say Amazon Jersey was the second cheapest by 10p (I didn't recommend The Hut as I've never used them so wouldn't recommend a retailer I've never used myself, I'd rather recommend a retailer I trust at 10p more)

I wasn't including used or import versions (which is what the 'new' of the used and new ones are)
• I'd recommend Peter Cook's Guitar World - a great selection and the best prices too.

• Is the EBuyer Guitar/Amp kit any good for an 9 year old?

OR

Would I be better to go for a 3/4 size one?
I am NOT a Woman! - its Overland Landy (as in A Landrover that travels Overland)

I would say that it should be fine depending on the size of your 9 year old.

I have just bought another one for my 10 year old boy.

The neck of the ebuyer guitar is quite slim so his fingers should cope with it.
Its better to be late in this life than early in the next one.
