there are four reviews currently on the ebuyer site for it. all say its v good and some comment that its easily better than the £99 packages that float about.

If you fancy this deal....get it, £55 is a great price for what you get, most Strat packages are at least twice that and are of the exact same quality, which is normally pretty good. The only package which is worth paying more for is the Fender one which is around £200 and is of better quality. My mate has one of these cheaper strat copies and it's pretty fun to play. My setup must have cost 30X more than this  you can't really go wrong for a shade over 50 quid IMHO :)

The Encore guitars the reviews compare it to are utter crud.

For £50 it's ok if you want to see if you're interested in playing, but crap guitars are harder to play than good ones. An unplayable guitar will put you off very quickly.
If you stick at it, you'll be replacing this setup within three months.

I would say ideal for learners especially kids before you splash out like Jamie85 says. its an expensive business, my son and I both play....we have 8 guitars in our house plus numerous amps, pa systems and digital recorders.....lol.....I tell swmbo.....at least I dont spend my money down the pub !!
    I'm now a retired teacher... hooray ...:j

I have now bought 4 of these for myself, family and friends who have seen the kit. You can't go wrong for the money. It will look good standing in my room even if I never learn to play it :)

I got 2 of these for Christmas pressies.

My son loves his Red one and is always playing it not too badly now I have to say.
My husband thinks his Black one is great, he hasn't had an electric guitar for years and is loving having one now.

My husband did say that he would have thought the whole kit he got could easily have fetched about £200.
Its better to be late in this life than early in the next one.

    Slow down speed kills.
