Fantastic - got mine today - IN BLACK! - wanted black but was too tight to pay the extra - so I am very happy.

Amazed that everything is included - even spare strings, case and a tuning pitch pipe.

wow!!! i cannot believe how much you get for the money!! the quality looks very good to me, though im no expert. All the panels are covered with the nice protective plastic stuff you can peel off. I suppose the acid test is to get a pro to test how it sounds. Just waiting for my mum to leave as Im too embarassed to start trying to play in front of her! by the way, got the shock of my life when I opened too big boxes to find nothing in them, I then realised these boxes were simply used to protect the guitar, doh! cant wait to start, so excited! Seems a bargain for a beginners guitar. Well, happy so far. :j

oh and the £10 stand is excellent quality too, already made up and you simply open it using a quick release type fixing. Though the stand did arrive in a old DVD box, which suprised me a bit! :)

p.s. only got one pick, think your suppose to get three but who cares! Theres also no hint of any type of instructions, dont really need em, the whammy bar screws in easily.

Good to hear people are pleased with their purchase, just stick at it, and if you don't like it you can easily make the £50 back in the local paper, win win! salthegal  I know what you mean, they do pack the empty spaces around the guitar with large boxes, not made the mistake of actually opening them myself though

Stage 2: open up windows sound recorder and let us all hear how you are getting on :D

I think it means that there are three pickups on the guitar. You should only get one plectrum as far as I know.

nope you should get three, even says it on the side of the box. Not that Im really bothered about it. Just gotta get myself a decent beginners book, one I got from amazon isnt suitable for the complete novice. ;)
  • Got my black one today! Very exciting! The neighbours picked it up though and were worried about the dents in the cardboard box - soon told them not to worry - LOADS of packaging!

Got it plugged into my QWiK TUNE and tuning it up now - it looks SO cool!!

I got the Super Slinky strings too from fab guy on ebay but waiting to see my guitar knowlegable friends to sort that out!!

oooh! can't wait to get it all up and running!

    P xx

I have used Earnie Ball super slinky's for years, they are the dog's dangly bits of guitar strings IMHO. For those who have bought this, next stop, an effects pedal :D you wouldn't believe the cool noises you can make with an entry level FX pedal (look up Zoom 505II) great bit of kit for a beginner! (even if it is more than the guitar)

Out of interest, how hard is it to change all the strings correctly? My guitar should be being delivered Tuesday and I'm tempted to get those better strings but I might have a problem installing them.

The first time I changed my strings I did it myself, it looked pretty messy but played fine. It's really quite simple though, just a case of threading it through the bridge, then passing it through the hole in the peg and twisting. If you are replacing them, take the 6 off that are on there at the moment......they will be pretty twisted up but if you use the old low E string (the thick one) you should be able to salvage it to test out putting them on, so if it does mess up, you don't have a brand new crippled useless string. Check ebay for "string winder" couple of quid and they allow you to replace them in a fraction of the time.
